There's already been a thread complaining about the Caldari assault bonus, but what about that Minmatar logistics 'bonus'?
I specced into the suit because I wanted a fast logi that could set up uplinks, scan the objective, and get a quick hack in. I'm sure lots of other players did for similar reasons. The previous bonus (hack speed) specifically catered to that playstyle. And now CCP are proposing a bonus that is for the exact opposite playstyle - someone who's walking along with his rep tool locked on a heavy. I have NO interest in rep tools and had no reason to expect the most lightly armoured, fastest logi with a hacking bonus to suddenly become the designated chubby chaser.
CCP had better be planning a skill refund or they will lose a LOT of players. |

A dropsuit command respec should be the bare minimum. People spent time, effort & often money to get hold of that playstyle. This isn't a nerf or a rebalance, it's a complete change to the role of the suit. Excellent point. The issue isn't just that it's a nerf - those happen from time to time. It's that people who have invested in a role are suddenly told to do a different role instead. |

That's a problem for everyone unfortunately. I'm now quite firmly in the respec camp, given that so many roles are changing drastically from what they initially were and so much new content is coming out. That's true to some extent but I think the uncertainty is worse for min logis. Here's why.
Hives, scanners and uplinks are standard equipment that most players will carry in the course of doing their jobs. So if there's no respec, Cal, Gal and Ama logis are still getting something out of their bonus, even if it's not ideal.
But a rep tool is a more unusual piece of equipment that implies a very specific playstyle that's fundamentally different to how most players play (including most logis). If there's no respec, lots of min logis will be stuck with a useless 'bonus'. |

A scout can set up uplinks and scan objectives because scouts have two equipment slots starting 1.8. Seems like you might want to look into that. The mimatar scout is also getting that hack bonus and is the fastest of all scouts. Exactly my point, in 1.8 the minmatar scout is basically closer to the 1.7 minlogi than the 1.8 minlogi is.
There better be a respec or they'll have a mutiny on their hands

No, I was saying that what you described is what the scout should have been, and has been described as, since forever. The description of the scout has never focused on carrying lots of equipment or hacking. It has focused on speed and stealth, advantages that I was willing to forgo in order to carry equipment, hack fast, and survive a bit longer if things get hot.
The minlogi met my requirements perfectly, and the scout did not at all - not enough equipment, not enough hack, etc. Are you really saying that I should have specced into the scout anyway, just in case CCP suddenly decided to change the minlogi from a hacker to a fatboy babysitter? |

Which will be interesting (i.e., ******* awful). Meh I still wager that unless the rifle damage nerf is massive most minmatar MD users will be dead before getting off 3 rounds of the regular MD 11 in the cylinder isn't going to matter that much. 65 rounds in my combat rifle to go with 100 in my SMG sounds nice though, especially since Caldari and Gallente assault bonuses are lame. The crucial thing is that a rifleman getting hit by a MD or flaylock can't shoot back effectively - your crosshairs fly all over the place and your screen fills with smoke. So getting 3 rounds off is often enough to make sure the rifleman can't respond.
Well skilled MD users like Kaughst up there can still **** up any rifleman's day. Add in a rifle nerf and we could be back to the days of MD and flaylock dominance, but this time with massive clips, oh joy. |

I sure wish there was a dislike button for the OP Did it ever say in-game that 'current oogi bonuses where placeholders till they could get bonuses to properly effect equipment' [sic]? Or ever say the min logi bonus would just be for repair tools? I think you're confusing 'this bonus suits me personally' with 'this is a reasonable bonus to impose on everyone who has this suit'.

Congratulations on being a selfish ****, though. Wow, way to be a dismissive, whiny, entitled prick. CCP Logibro I think it was said a while back that all the logi bonuses were going to be changed once they could get suits bonuses to affect equipment properly. They never said which logi would get which bonus, but it could be inferred by anyone with a brain that the bonus would be for Reppers, since they're a Minnie item. HTFU, or skill into scout. Your thread is meaningless qq, with no hope of dev response of any kind (I assume that was your purpose, otherwise you really are a moron). Did you even read the post I was responding to? I do not fire unless fired upon.
What bearing has some throwaway line a dev said on the forum got on this issue? The average player is NOT expected to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of every single blue post. If this was something CCP thought relevant to SP decisions, that information should have been in the game, or at least stickied on GD for months.
My interpretation? CCP don't think it's relevant to SP decisions, and there will be an SP refund. But since they haven't confirmed this, and it's possible they haven't noticed the huge discrepancy between the designated role of 1.8 minlogis and the role of 1.0-1.7 minlogis, I couldn't see the harm in drawing attention to it.
EDIT - Deleted some insults just in case you are a reasonable person and genuinely didn't notice the tone of the post to which I was responding. |

Congratulations on being a selfish ****, though. Thank you I got my PHD in Selfish ****, but hay Ill be selfishly enjoying repping my team mates while you selfishly cry over not being able to solo hack objectives in seconds. But seriously You must be new to this game and or CCP as a company in gerneral, they Do what they want. Even after 1.8 If you skill into a suit based off of its bonuses and expect them to stay those bonuses forever your setting yourself up for a let down. CCP do respond to feedback and have done it countless times. That's what this is about. Obviously it's too much for you to comprehend so you start with the QQ.
I'm new to the game am I? I have 28,857 kills to your 8,439 and 3.14 KDR to your scrubby 0.91. Even a support logi should be positive. <1KDR tells me you drop dead at the first sign of a fight and you're a liability to any team you're on.
Looks at those stats again. I'm officially 3.5 times the man you are. Source: your mum, last night. |

CCP had better be planning a skill refund or they will lose a LOT of players. Minmatarr suits are all getting a native Hacking Bonus. Why are you complaining while you're getting it free ? -Amarr Native bonus : Stamina. -Gallente native bonus : Hp/regen -Minmatarr native bonus : Hack -Caldari Native bonus : Overall better shield stats (regen/delay etcetc...). Our useless 'bonus' means we're at a disadvantage to any other suit, e.g.
Amarr logi - stamina bonus (useful), uplink bonus (useful) Gallente logi - HP regen (useful), scan bonus (useful) Cadari logi - shield bonus (useful), hive bonus useful Minmatar logi - Hack (useful), repair tool bonus (useless - majority of min logis don't even fit rep tools)
And some minlogis chose it for the max hack speed. Now minscout is where the max hack speed is. So even if you wanted to use the min hack bonus to the maximum, you wouldn't want your points in minlogi.
There is only one, very specific minlogi that this bonus is any good for, and of course a couple of them have come out of the woodwork to say they love the bonus. That's nice for them, but why should everyone else with the suit be forced to either switch to the chubby chasing playstyle, or grind for months to get into a different suit? |
