been trying new roles before 1.8 hits and realised (since i'm on the other side) that its hard to tell if your being repped. it would always annoy me when someone i was repairing would run round a corner or through a null cannon etc while i was keeping them alive. now i know why. its virtually impossible to tell if you are being repped unless you actually turn around and see the guy doing it.
is there any chance that we can get an orange glow to the hud while being repaired or a warning message. this would aid in keeping players in los with logis. this is going to be a much needed feature when 1.8 hits as logi survivability is going to be a lot lower than it is currently.

we have "you have been scanned" in the center of the screen. maybe we can have a green "triage active" when being repaired by a rep tool

I've been pestering CCP about the missing rep-tool golden glow every chance I get for a while now. Saberwing said he thought it was currently in the game. I informed him it was most definitely not. And he....never got back to me. Which is weird, because I directly asked him about it the next day in DevHangout, and he just straight ignored me. I'd love an actual dev response on this, but for some reason they seem to be acting especially secretive about it...

Well that explains a lot. Have been using the rep tool here and there seeing as it's being forced upon me as my logi bonus. Put it on people and they seemed to act as if they were just as squishy as ever or just run away from me. Another classic brought to you by CCP Shanghai.

what i would like to see is"triage available" as a small message in the corner of the screen or an actual triage icon on the logi rather than another green/blue arrow. this way you know when a logibro is about and can go looking for him if required. when a logi actually locks onto you it should say something on the lines of "triage active". this will likely keep players in los with logis.
+ icon means they have a repair tool fit and icon for resupply would be on logi's with nano's etc
rep icon is priority over resupply, resupply over needle etc. this way you can find the right logi for you

I think there should be a triangular icon in the bottom center of the screen, probably neon green with a slowly spinning recycle symbol in the center coupled with your health bar lightly flashing. Something professional and futuristic looking.

90-175hps. your only going to notice it when your taking a lot of damage but if the damage is gradual or about what your receiving in triage you don't tend to think your taking damage so run round the corner and bam, triage lost and that damage now hurts.
ttk is too low to be watching your health bar go up and down in combat. if someone is guarding you then that buys you time but you need to know its there first or players react as if there is no triage... next thing i know im shooting the enemy instead of repairing the assaults etc infront of me because they are hiding when they could be killing

problem with that is you will have people pestering assaults and scouts etc for ammo etc. its a logis job to help players out and be pestered and we are rewarded with wp. currently when you need a rep or ammo you run to the nearest yellow suit and shoot him till he helps you in some way. imagine people doing that to you in pubs and FW just so they can use your own personal stash.

I''d recommend having the HUD's hit point meters glow a different color (orange would work or w/e) and have the text "Repair in Progress" or some such displayed over the meter as an indicator.
You don't want more clutter in the HUD so center messages are rarely a good idea, but a small change such as above (color doesn't add clutter) is obvious enough but doesn't detract from the player's primary goal of watching his view.
That guy you killed with 0% shields?

Whenever a player is killed, but clone is not terminated, players equipped with injectors have an icon that shows where they are - this is great and doesn't clutter. The same concept could be applied via an active 'command'. Players could be given in their radial menu (R2) the 'request logistics' command which would place a given symbol over them and show up on any player with repair tools/hives in range, much like downed team members do to injector holders.
This 'beacon' would only be active for 15 seconds and immediately deactivates upon the player gaining any kind of aid, repairs, ammo, or otherwise. It would help logis identify players quickly that have lost armor/shields/ammo. This prevents the annoyance of a 'permanent beacon' (or at least dissuades it some) and gives players another tool for communicating needs. Yelling on mic "I'm Aerius and need reps" doesn't help since radar doesn't display names and thus logis, unless looking AT you, have no clue where you are.
Intuitive communications is always a win.

Thinking on situations where I need logistics help of any kind, I really wish there was a command like I mentioned above for SEEKING help.
Ever found yourself wondering where the nearest hive or depot is? It happens a lot early and late in battles as conditions rapidly change. Opening the map isn't exactly good for your health if you're in the hot seat either.
What I'd propose is, through that radial menu, a "Seek Logistics" Command, that would create a simple pointer on the HUD or just the radar that points to the nearest hive or supply depot and is active for 10 seconds tops...generally all you need is a rough idea of direction.
Just a quality of life improvement.
That guy you killed with 0% shields?

doesn't solve the issue of players not noticing they have taken damage let alone someone is trying to repair them. your suggestion assumes players will request help and wait around for it. as what happens in most cases players dont look for help and dont wait for repairs when it is there and then all of a sudden they realise and wait. all we need as logis is for players being repaired to know when it is happening.
some players actually run around looking for a logi when he is trying his hardest to try and catch them to repair them because they run away part way through and didn't notice the first reps. it happens with squad mates all the time and we are on comms with each other

Although this should extend past sqd order type things, so that logistic units could see blueberries that need help. Also, I'd make it to where logistics can only see blips they can help with. Don't want an ammo guy with no rep hives have to see the blip for "need repair"
