Yeah, this may be the most expensive battle in EVE. Since it's still going on. Perhaps change title to "Most expensive fight ever" ?

I plan to max out MTACs when I get the chance so that when we can do boarding parties......I will literally be the squad support mobile armoured wall......or as Commando/ Riot Shield withstanding heavy fire and dishing out withering fire of my own. PLEX market price is at about 660 million ISK at the moment. Considering that one PLEX equals to about $19.95 on average ($17.50 per plex if you buy the 28 pack), that would equate to about $4,473.63 for that Titan loss alone ($3924.24 based on the $17.50 figure). Assuming each of those lost Titans share the same value, that would equate to no less than $364,954.32 with 93 titans lost. Again, this is just an estimate based on the value of that lost ship alone. Lol, and to think that this could be going on right now in DUST if only we had an EVE code based PC version of the game instead of this kiddie console FPS crap based on some old Unreal code. The crap being argued over on these forums should have never existed. That goes for the balance b*tching, features, number of players per match, thumb jockey epeening and anything other than how a match is affecting EVE PI. You should already have lost faith in CCP from the beginning if you came from EVE and saw the progression this game has taken from the moment it was announced it would be on the Playstation. The only reason I ever started playing this game and still do is that I'm partial to the ground combat basis and background of EVE. If you think about, there really is real-world money involved. Eve Online allows you the ability to purchase PLEX with cash and then trade that PLEX away to another player in exchange for the in-game currency ISK. That other player can then use that PLEX to either trade it again for a higher profit or use it to extend their own game time by 30 days. It's because of this mechanic that we are able to attach actual $$$ figures to the battles in Eve giving us a perspective of the extent of each battle. Exactly. Imagine the effort put into one Titan Class ship alone. Under the current mechanics, Titans can only be built in null-sec (0.0) space inside a player-owned structure (POS aka Control Tower) in a system that has it's status upgraded to support such a manufacturing effort. That involves security and having an indispensable fleet of miners on your side that can bring in much needed minerals. Titans also require special materials that regular miners can't get access to: T2 components which can only be acquire via moon resource harvesting which only the POS can go. This makes some moons with the needed materials highly lucrative. There is also the expense of providing the fuel needed for those POSes to operate and hiring logistical help to maintain that supply. There is also the fact that skilled marketeers are employed to look for supplies at the cheapest rate possible per unit to cut down on cost while also employing low-sec haulers to move critical supplies from high-sec to null-sec when needed. I don't think Dust will ever have the "same" type of stories though. Our battles are limited by a few factors such as time, red lines, and clone count. Our stories will be different. I can see us being intertwined into those big ole capsuleer wars as tools but I feel like the best of Dust(and EVE) will shine in joint campaigns and theatres of wars. I mean despite how people try to "meh" the Eon War, having the same type of war on a bigger scale with way more options and fleets actually being a big part of the battle would be unarguably worth talking about. Those are the type of battles that will really bring players to and back to Dust. Actual military tactics being used for military-like battles with various names being made from subordinates, to squad leaders, to field commanders. Members, corps, and alliances being written down in legend due to word of mouth, True Stories, comic books from Dark Horse, and actual movies.
