For example, our alliance had begun to participate in PFC... just before... well you know! A few of our players got to play some great matches as part of the alliance, but we couldn't hope to go full-on into PC due to lives outside video gaming & can't be tied down by timers etc. So it's back to pub matches. What I'm getting at is, a few of us 'vets' who remember playing corp battles still reminisce around the fireside, about how much fun it was, arranging matches with other corps we'd met in open beta & wanted to test ourselves against. Hell, we lost every time, but we had FUN! I've seen several talented players drift away due to becoming tired of the same maps/game modes etc, yet who couldn't commit to a 'PC corp' due to only being casual players. I believe the return of a player/corp organised contract where we could stipulate pre-agreed rules (for laughs), set our own contract amount and decide on times to better suit all concerned, would actually help to make the game entertaining for some of us again. Let the elites fight over ficticious planets, let us fight against friends with dual plasma cannon wielding commandos! (sorry for the novel!) Before after a long haul of this and that and spam and begging we finally got an answer from Hanz regarding this idea which temporarily made us go quiet. HOWEVER. In light of the recent news of Legion's release, I can hardly see why this would be a problem anymore. These are the NEW reasons we need corp battles back: - Dust's economy is obsolete now - Might as well, it's what we want and would not be difficult to incorporate at all. - It is already built, just need to re-implement it. - Allows corps to do something, may retain a portion of the player base - PC is broken, the economy is broken. As part of the PC 'fix' that has been promised, this would not be such a bad idea. Brb, sister needs the TV
