I think the whole ScR+AK.0 Q_Q, is adorable.

"Gun takes skill because of the overheat mechanic" argument is so stupid. Its a long range weapon, and therefore it should require pacing. Either way the weapon was due for a re-tuning. The ScR will always be good even without the heat bonus in CQC, all the bonus mean was that players who made use of a specific weapon type were benefitted in its use. I use the Scrambler Rifle religiously on my logi suit, it's still crazy good but I have to manage the heat build-up carefully in CQC. I think perhaps with the AK.0 bonus it is a bit too potent, sort of just becomes a spam rifle. Though I do feel bad for the game's remaining laser rifle user, wherever s/he may be. Don't give up the good fight man!

Its essentially a DMR, you are rewarded for having good accuracy with high DPS....unlike the RR and CR which reward High Alpha and DPS respectively without requiring that accuracy. The Heat bonus is what keeps the ScR in check for CQC. What you players made use was bonus that augmented a weapon from Mid to Long range to occasion CQC, into CQC, Mid range, and long range. You can stand here and argue all you want that the bonus is just 5 shots, but youu and me both know that 5 shots is the difference between overheating or killing. The Rail Rifle is essentially the same then, having insane projectile damage, moderate rate of fire, accuracy out to medium and long range, no overheat mechanic, and similar magazine size. I do remember getting torn to shreds in my scout suit by an ScR by you, so that's what I remembered it by. But my question still stands. Do you think that the bonus makes it broken, or is it the gun's ability to fire so fast that makes it broken? Apparently a Viziam Scrambler Rifle or two shot you in the groin more than once. Not everyone skilled into the Amarr Assault a.k0 simply for the bonus. For example, I skilled into it because I use Amarr gear EVE side and therefore DUST side (also have proto Amarr Logi a.k0). Yes, the SCR and Assault a.k0 have an awesome symbiotic relationship, but what is going to keep me from one shotting people even without the heat reduction bonus? Yes, I may overheat faster than usual, but my Viziam Scrambler Rifle coupled with 2 complex damage mods is still going to hit just as hard - and I aim for the head, body shots are for scrambler neophytes.
