From the times I squaded, teamed, or fought against with him it was clear his piloting was a higher art. He had a good knack for mitigating incoming DPS. In one particular Domonation match he rolled a HAV above hack-point alpha and pounded our side. So a buddy and I did concentrated proto-AV pushing him back into the redline. He rolled to the other end of their redline and did pop out attacks from even higher ground for the rest of the match. My buddy and I never got him but thanks to our distraction the blue-dots finally secured the hack-point for the rest of the match. Another time we pulled a four man dropship team (I was alternating between combat jumps and relaying map intel). We kept raiding the cluster of reds with a DS fit that could three-shot turret installations. At one point I had been inserted to deal with a supply depot crew. The DS had to bug out. After clearing the area instead of suicidally moving towards the hack-point I jumped off the structure opposite to the enemy. After calling out my current position he swooped back around the map and hovered low enough above grossly uneven ground. I was able to Fatty-jump board the DS before vengeful red-dots could circle the structure to clone my @ss. We lost but it was fun. PC Onry for the rest of the tankers it looks like.

I've seen duna tank and the only reason his KDR is so high is because he bails from his tank and runs to avoid a death, saw him lose 4 Ion cannon fitted maddys in 1 match, no doubt paid for with his corps wallet.

There is more to tanking than just killing people, even simply if at its basic level it is a variation on killing them, as you could argue for all other roles in game, tanks are designed to me more than just mobile turrets, if you play Ambush all the time sure you get the numbers, more power to him, but as far as that tells me all he is is and opportunist with 5 buddies who are better than a bunch of random blue dots. I was the other tank. You took off too. I had a neutron blaster and a rail turret to contend with by myself. Hence the mail I sent you about priorities. Ya I was using my armor fit which btw has like nothing into it and I backed off because a scout slapped some remotes on me and brought my armor significantly down as I backed up I tried to engage the double hardened rail tank with only about half armor.
