Technically, duna2002 is the best.
Say what you want, but he has the K/D, kills, and wins to show for it and he's never done anything but tank.
There's a list of good tankers and people who just tank. duna2002 at least stays on the front until he gets blown up. He doesn't run his modules then retreat for 2 minutes then comes back picking 1-2 easy kills. His crew destroys pubs worse than Nyain San ever could. In fact, I've seen his 4 guys destroy NS's A-Team many times. They never stood a chance.
And the fact that he doesn't PC as a corp doesn't matter.

I've seen duna tank and the only reason his KDR is so high is because he bails from his tank and runs to avoid a death, saw him lose 4 Ion cannon fitted maddys in 1 match, no doubt paid for with his corps wallet. |

His skill is numbers, it's his 5 other tank boyfriends who prevent you from ever reaching him.

You're right. He's a sleezeball, but he has the numbers to show for it. Faulting him for using teamwork in a team-based game is void argument. Milkman1 & CUBS are the same way, but they still got to the top and stayed there, 13ear, too.
All a tank can do is destroy and kill, so he plays the gamemode that allows only just that; ambush.
He only tanks, since he started. He's the highest posted 100% tanker, period. How he goes about it doesn't matter because he gets the results he wants.
He's the best. Has been for a long time. |

I don't really feel like that's the case. There is more to tanking than just killing people, even simply if at its basic level it is a variation on killing them, as you could argue for all other roles in game, tanks are designed to me more than just mobile turrets, if you play Ambush all the time sure you get the numbers, more power to him, but as far as that tells me all he is is and opportunist with 5 buddies who are better than a bunch of random blue dots.

honestly it really depends of what u mean by best.
and for the scrub who thinks duna is good. he's trash. i killed him 4-5 times in one ambush. should have been 5 but he bailed once. it's 4 officaly. anyone who judges tank drivers by KD is dumb. and yes he had his tank battalion with him.
if u did it by by KD i would be one of the worst cause i have a 3.6 - 3.7 ish KD. i guess i'm one of the worst tank drivers ever. :'(.

medaman is the best tank is ML and he did give me a good fight, but his understanding of close range tank duels is average. still better than most tankers, though.

wait a minute...you do realize that to do that, a tanker has to check the map and leave himself immobile, or have a friend of his not fighting. it's a perfectly fair tactic and i use it all the time- even in PC. people think im this amazing god mode tanker...well, some people, but really, i just refuse to engage head on if i can help it. ill even sneak up on tanks from THEIR redline just for lulz.

Ya I saw nixnova yesterday I came at him another tank to my left and he ran for the redline with sliver of health and then a scout detonated remotes on me and a rail tank from behind hit and nixnova charged up and killed me dealing 163 damage. The other time Igot in pretty close with a blaster I popped him and his double hardeners started running away and then nixnova IAFG'ed me in the back with very little shields left. I met Earl that match too he and a second rail kept cornering me in the redline and we kept exchanging shots and then I would retreat further into the redline and he behind a building I killed the one tank that went practically in the redline to kill me took the long way out and snuck up behind him as he was going to his protective building.

You're going to need to specify what's required of the "best tanker"? For most of us we judge based on Tank v Tank, Infantry kills aren't that important. Don't get me wrong, going 60/0 in a Skirm is impressive, but if you're doing it in an ambush you get no respect. It'd be difficult, if you want to find the best tanker, we need to do a tournament.
