Considering the recent fire I started and subsequently threw fuel on here, I'd like to follow it up with something meaningful.
Suit skill bonuses will be changed in 1.8 as mentioned here and in the thread I linked previously:

With this being considered, I can't help but recall how susceptible you [CCP] were to the community's input on vehicle changes and new rifles prior to 1.7's release. The return of the Assault Drop Ship was a particular favorite among the community and rightfully so. However, I'd like to call attention to one primary factor of 1.7's successes being the fact that vehicle skills were refunded on release. That being said, I would like you to consider very heavily on taking a similar treatment with 1.8's (potential, we're not holding you to anything yet) changes and giving a skill refund on suits that have been changed in such drastic ways as to redefine their play-style.
While I make no assumptions, I have a strong feeling that the community will echo my request. In either case, thank you for listening.

+1 I have no plans to change my suits, but with the major (potential) changes to dropsuits I could see why many would.

I picked my Min Logi because I wanted to flank, scan, drop uplinks & hives, and take undefended objectives/CRUs/depots. Specifically a suit to do that and NOT be a medic. I really hope they give this the vehicle respec treatment.

I hope the commando bonus' are not permanent. I don't think that each suit needs a bonus of only one type of weapon, since we use all light weapons

I'm 100% against full repecs but refunding the infantry trees when drastic changes are introduced is perfectly valid. I hope they do the same thing they did for 1.7.
I will be remaining 100% Minmatar but it's only fair to those that are losing the reason for their choices. I just hope they choose for long term reasons and not FOTM.
I wonder if cross racial skills are coming?

I like the idea of receiving bonuses for sticking to a single faction for all your gear. You can still mix without too much penalty.

If these changes go through, there will be literally no escape from scanners if someone uses the Gallente Logistic suit, which is an awful, awful idea. If something was done to scanners beforehand, then the ball is in the air on how it could go. If not, it'll be even more broken.
The Minmatar Logistic will be a favorite of the logibros with those bonuses.
Other than the Gallente's Logistic suit, I have no further problems with suggested changes. I even welcome them.

I will probably drop my Gal Logi suit, I only use scanners on half my Logi suits...
I don't even have 500 armor on my Proto Logi suits, I had them before they were cool for the awesome bonus, that now goes to every Logi, time to change to equipment I do us. With Uplinks being something I despise (too much spam), and Caldari just not being my thing (despite my race)...
Looks like Minmitar for me, I never leave home without a repair tool.
I also noted no change to the really crappy Assault Bonus... Looks like my Gal Assault will still have a crappy bonus... |

Though I disagree with the bonuses I do agree that there should be some full SP refund. Almost, full character - vehicles. I went Amarr logi to wield both a light weapon, a side arm, and have equipment. This allowed for AV support, unique weapon combos, ect. But, choosing again I would let go of those side arms I skilled into and even some of the light weapons. It is a re-commitment to another path that pushes us into a new future.

Same. The MIN bonus wins out. I hate uplinking as a logi - that is something that the assaults or scouts can carry if they have a logibro supporting the squad.
