I have Min assault @ lvl 3 and honestly I feel like not getting it to level 5.

level 5 gives you 2 more high slots, which, if I've read correctly from other posts you can't even use sensibly because of the CPU/PG limitations.

I would LOVE to have 2 dmg mods and 3 shields (or vice versa) on the slots but as it is, that just won't work with my style because those are CPU hogs, coupled with kin cat / dampeners in the lows.

You could put armor plates in the lows but it still doesn't compare to caldari assault suit and you'd be sacrificing the only bonus Min Assault suit has beyond others. (Speed)

Lol my suit it useless, it has CPU and PG limitations, if I stack armor plates it'd be a waste of a suit. Please you have the second highest CPU and PG for a mid frame in the game, then your the fastest suit in the game and everyone stacks armor plates even them Caldari. So please stop your qq.

Your "most powerful weapon" (made of duct tape) has less dps than my viziam (during the relevant time frame).

Proto minmatar assault for quite some time here. The bonus is definitely worth it if you like SMGs. Even better if you have the sort of SP invested that some people do. Having 100 rounds in a clip is insane if you get a great flank off or you love side arms. Even before the flaylock got nerfed to useless the SMG has always been the best side arm choice for minmatar.

The only stat that this suit has over any other medium frame is the movement/strafe speed. No other suit can strafe as fast as this suit. It's really the only stat it has that no other medium frame can ever beat. The only thing that is out strafing a minnie is a scout.

By no means is this a great suit though. You're paper thin compared to every other suit. It doesn't tank well. It has horrible regen. Stacking more than 3 damage mods is absolutely pointless. Other assault suits are simply better. I really only survive as well as I do because I am used to playing scout so that extra 200 HP is a lot in comparison.

The sidearm bonus for minmatar is good for pistols also.

I've gotten used to low hp and can live with that but the proto suit just feels lacking, hence my 'QQ' of upgrading it.

The only way I can run a viable Min Assault is by abusing the Low fitting requirements of the Core Flaylock and the Republic Boundless.

By using those two weapons (AND NO EQUIPMENT) I can stack 4 complex shields, a complex damage mod, enhanced speed, and a basic plate.

8.3 Sprint

I shouldn't be having to sacrifice so much just to get a good fit.

ON ANOTHER NOTE:

I think the Minmatar Assault needs the 4/3 layout instead of the 5/2. Give the Caldari Assault the 5/2 and us the 4/3. It makes more sense, as Min's are supposed to be light dual tankers with huge speed.

This will also discourage the Dual Tanking Caldari that we see all the time. By giving them an extra shield slot, they could conceivably run the following fit (which is oh so caldari)

Made to be a rapid flanker. Shields should take the brunt of the damage, with 251 armor as backup. When you start taking too much shield damage, you should sprint away and wait for the regen. You can replace the damage mod with a recharger, but I think that flanking is more about doing as much damage as possible in a short period of time, and then running away if they turn to shoot you. Hence the damage is more important than a good regen, as you should be away from danger while recharging, not in it.

Just my ideas on this.

I have the ak.0 on this character. But I'm sure your gonna be like your opinion doesn't matter then so let me explain my headaches. At proto I only have 3lows and 3 highs that load out makes for some pretty interesting fits right? I'm slower than a pregnant woman, my racial gun doesn't know the meaning of conservation **** eats CPU and pg like a midnight snack. I get 30 more HP and some stamina bonuses that is somehow equal to loosing some speed oh but get this I'm also inheritly slower then any other mid frame because of that. But that ain't the annoying part the most annoying part is that a damn scout gk.0 can get 600+ armor and still move faster than me. But I just learnt to deal with stuff I don't like by spamming grenades.
