The Min and cal assualts need to swap slot layout, and the min depleted recharge rate should be smaller than the cal suit, so you you could fit a regulator in a low slot and be able to counter the shield extender stacking penalty. If min is supposed to be the hit and run suit that is.

Save yourself some frustration at sinking a million+ SPs into a PROTO suit that can't stack/tank/outfit the way you want and do your core elec/engin FIRST. They seem stupid, but the gains made by maxing those are the key to being able to create the fits you're wanting to do. Since he will often be at range (and near cover), running the hive gives him the ammo he needs to provide constant long range surppressive fire. (Speed) I got the minmatar assault. It was remarkably underwhelming. A friend of mine asked me what I thought of the suit. I told him the same thing and added that he probably shouldn't spec into it. He didn't listen and now he regrets putting the SP into the suit as well. So now im going to warn you, unless you want to run plasma cannon, or swarm launchers with 5 damage mods. Do not run this suit. The only reason you would want to run it right now is that eventually it will get a lot better. But as far as tier for tier assault suits go, the minmatar definitely feels like its below the rest. The amar has a great balance between shields and armor, along with a fantastic racial bonus letting me use SRs and LRs at my leisure. The Gallente has fantastic armor tank, and if you couple its racial skill with the specialist duvolle assault rifle you have a lot more CPU/PG to play with then most. The Caldari has a wonderful shield tank if properly fitted and is otherwise just an all around balanced suit with great performance. The minmatars only advantage is a marginal speed buff. If that suit ran as fast or just a little less fast then a scout suit, then I think it would definitely fill in a very niche role. But the fact that its only marginally faster, with a lack of CPU/PG means you have to fit a CPU/PG module to give you the extra room you need to fit a gun, a nanohive or scanner, and 5 shield extenders. (because if you don't fit the shield extenders you don't have nearly as much health as most of the other suits) and even when you do fit those shield extenders your suits HP regen is so slow that it takes literally a year to regen its shields fully. With the addition of the combat rifle one could argue that the suit isn't that bad. Its pretty decent at rapid relocation and flanking. But the fact that the suits CPU/PG is so low means that its really limited in what it can do. But pshhhhhh what do I know? Marston VC, STB Director

The concept was to be able to get around the battlefield quickly on foot with swarms and a nasty smg for dealing with infantry. Well now I've got 2 enhanced plates on her and a combat riffle and I'm basically a gimped caldari assault.
