Fix this Now, i won't say they should be zero, i can see a charge interface causing them to draw power from the suit in order to justify some cpu usage, but should they be as or more fitting intensive as some Light Weapons? I don't think so, just can't be justified. Something similar to the flaylock would be nice. Except way less CPU

Dude if you really wanna be a minja, be a minja. If you ran pro 5 and had the prototype suit bonus basic knives would do only 230 damage. Advanced 431 proto 575 all both blades uncharged. Charged basic 460 Adv 862 Proto 1150
It's worth the suit switch if you compare the damage |

Instead of buffing damage, why not allow running and slashing at the same time. Nothing is more annoying than having to chase someone and when slashing they get away because you're slower than a turtle and your knives don't even touch them. And the stupid sprinting glitch which prevents sprinting after slashing seriously needs to be fixed.

Your knives can touch them now. In fact, damage finally registers. The problem is that your sprint gets interrupted as soon as initiate a quick-slash attack. That's the part that annoys almost as much as not being able to sprint with the charge held.
OK, CCP. When are knives finally going to be improved?

I can see the point where the basic knives are very UP. But the Ishnoks are spot on. I'd like to use the minja racial knives, I would think. But you never know. I would expect minmatar knives to use less CPU/PG.
I think the one nerf we will get hit by is when they finally bust out the racial knives and then assigning different shield/armor damages |

Yeah, I don't care how they fix it, within reason - sprint and slash/charge would be best... The experience of sprinting along behind someone you want to knife and quick-slashing, not being quite close enough once the sprint is interrupted, then having to catch up to them and try again... is not fun.

EDIT: A maxed out Ishukone is enough to scare off even the most hardcore of heavies. But on a Gal scout... Anyways, the basic nova knives are useless. Period. Also, I can't even 2 hit KO some basic frames. That's why they need this. Besides, it takes skill of the stupidity of your opponent to get close and knife them moving or not. They wouldn't be stupid if you snuck up behind them like you should. I use the ZN-28 (adv) on my adv Minnie and I can kill a proto sentinel in 2 slashes. Anyone in an adv or standard suit with their backs turned is most likely always a 1 slash kill. Dude...I do. Usually they hear me even though I charge in the air, and they run and side peddle away so I can only get 1-3 hits in. Can't you just admit that the charge time + the damage on the basic nova knives is absurd? Honestly, who uses the standard?
