i just shot down a rail madrugar with a vipers mlt missile launcher today...
your asking for 2 big of a nerf when it comes to some of the damage and range..
rof changes could be all thats needed though..
because that means i wont have to worry about a single rail tank doing massive amounts of damage to my blaster tank.. it means i can actually counter then... |

still too much, railguns need 100 less damage and 1.6 fire rate or 1.6 fire rate with a 1800 dmg cap to prevent damage modded proto rails getting the same broken effect as CX damage mods
Is that where it just wont fire once the damage mod is activated? Cus I just had that happen to me, cost me a kill. |

Cus I just had that happen to me, cost me a kill. no, i just want a cap on the max damage to prevent fully auto breach forge shots, on my 4000 armor maddie i had 60% armor left and a forge 1 hitted me, thats why you call op. reduce thier damage by at least 200 reduce charge time. same with my incubus but hardened

I struggle to understand your issues with this, another rail tank will prevent or destroy that rail tank, suicide hot drops will also destroy them....not condoning that type of play but the easiest way to nerf this type of cowardice is to disallow the firing of weapons in the Redline as it is not a CONCORD sanctioned battlefield.

So, if you get redlined, you automatically lose the match and are free kills since none of your weapons work anymore... This is why players are not taken seriously when it comes to balance.
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

lets just replace the redzone with a highly and easily defendable base..
that should mean no more free kills for when u get redlined..in fact it means your enemy would have trouble getting dat "free" kill.. |

Yup you don't deserve to be able to fire out of the redline if you get to that state, that or you make a concerted attack to push back onto the map.
Frankly speaking, this being a phrase I am going to be using a lot, we all need to HTFU.
In other FPS tanks take out helicopters in 1 shot, maybe 2 tops.
In dust a dropshipper gets 2-3 shots before they go down.
Even at this point I am beginning to wonder how CCP balanced tanks, and you say players are **** at balancing....

Would it be possible to make railguns have bullet drop? That alone would make hitting a moving dropship much harder, especially if the dropship is changing altitude.
The PC and SL should fit into Sidearm/ Equipment slots so it's accessible and practical to carry one.

I am no expert but of all the video I've seen of current railguns there is no spin to the projectile. I'd think at some point it will start to tumble. Maybe not over such sort distances we see in game but you have to have some suspension of physics in games. |

A competent pilot is virtually invulnerable to infantry AV as things stand. If rails were much less of a threat, DSs would be God mode.
I'm not opposed to a dropship buff or rail nerf per se, but it would have to come in alongside a major AV buff. |
