The best I've gone in 1.7 with it is 20/8 in my Templar setup. But most matches I wouldn't even go positive if I tried running it exclusively. Not with the Rail Rifle on the field. No.

I have Burnstalks on my scout main, and Heavy + Standards on my Fantastic Alt. I can camp from so nice and distant and melt shields but getting the fricken armor is impossible with level 1 lasers and no damage mods. The Sweet spot does need to be drastically widened, but the plus side to that is that it makes it such a hard weapon to accidentally Team Kill. Since when? Ha, I guess it depends what you consider as dead. It cannot compete with vast majority of weapons...and hit detection on them is completely wonky. Plus you can hear the charge from like 50m+. I always think my PS3 hard drive is giving out but it's just a nova knifer. It's a sub par weapon in the very least, people merely use them because they are dedicated to them not because it gives them any advantage.

Hit detection is fine and any knifer that starts a charge 50m away its ********, ill admit they aren't the easy mode Ar users are comfortable with But they are far from subpar. Nova knives have the highest dps out of any weapon the trick is learning to apply it. I wipe out whole squads with my knives its definitely a situational weapon but if your always flanking you can do some serious work with them.
