I have not died to a single Laser Rifle since 1.7 deployed, and I don't think it's just because the C&R rifles are new and have an event.

Prototype Rail Rifles have 100-80% efficiency through the whole range of the Laser Rifle, aren't restricted to a <20m span and have the same DPS without charging for 30 rounds. There's a bit of kick with Operation 5, so it's not bang on accurate, but it's accurate enough to almost always out DPS the Laser Rifle.

when attacking red berrys with the laser watch them BOUNCE IN SEATHING AGNOY AND PAIN KNOWING BUNNY HOPING WILL NOT SAVE THEM FORM YOUR CONTINUOS BEAM OF DEATH!
also best way to anoy snipers.
Rail Rifles can annoy Snipers from further away, and the enemies seem to bounce right quick when I use Rail Rifles as well.
Glad you're enjoying it, though. Also, keep smelting them and one day you'll have enough Redberrium to forge a sword.
