the main problem with tanks is the quantity you can bring in. if they lower that, then the tank problem should be fixed. just stick it out a little longer. i'm sure they'll fix it.

Make tankers fear calling in a tank when you're facing them.

I'm killing tanks by the handful? Skill into AV a bit, don't run at a tank screaming "Gobbdlyguk!" unless you're in a Matari Mobile Missile (Jihad Jeep). Bring a friend, play it safe and smart, or call in a tank.....all of which viable options. Granted, the right team will abuse having tanks around, even if the tankers suck, so if it looks that way, just avoid the tanks whenever possible and kill the infantry, make it easier for your AV to work.
side note: I have adjusted to the new swarms already....I make it work just fine now. |

i still go on everyday , i just get off now after a couple matches....my game used to be running with a squad doing good now all the key players are spending the entire match chasing the non stop tanks evrywhere...
I used to do say 10/2 most matches being a logi. now its like 10/8 with the extra 6 deaths all from tanks evrydamn match...sniping in the redline...run over by a tank...walk out of a building..hey theres 5 tanks there....bullshit
If i wanted to play world of tanks i would play it, but im not im playing dust.
believe me you Im a 25 millionsp player and I know you can blow up a tank but thats not the only thing i wanna spend my whole day doing...and it is...at least untill i decide that watching TV is more fun than tank514. which it is after 3 matches.

We became usable? I don't see how you can compare 1.6 to 1.7 since at 50 m you people were invisible you swarms could lock across half the map, and FG were so devastating one tower forgegunner killed the entire vehicle aspect of this game....

I hve a militia tank set up with 2x damage and 2x rails..which works ok still gets old quick, I even sneeked up djinn marauder earlier for the kill..and then him and his 3 friends bend me over for the duration.

Ok, I'll let you in on a "secret"... About half those tanks out there are there due to the other half. What I mean is someone brings out a tank. So someone else realizes that the best counter is another tanks, only you don't need a beefy high-skilled tank to kill another tank. You can just use a Militia one. Who can get out a militia tank? Just about everyone will not so many skillpoints. combine that with how cheap they are and there you have it. The arms race. |

Not "just about everyone"....EVERYone can bring out a MLT tank lol. All you need is 70k ISK and a few seconds to fit the tank. |

Learn to only attack when you don't see those really obvious hardeners, and use your squad. Tanks go down like a Luke warm knife through cold butter, not an insta win but definitely doable
(Unlike if you attack when they have hardeners and it's like cutting metal with a butter knife (as in a knife made of butter))

Found this is quite effective when tanks show up.
1) Grab a scout suit w 1 or 2 damps, Swarm and AV grenades
2) flank the tanks
3) giggle at the
4) use cover and get close
5) let fly with your arsenal
Seriously, I  don't understand why people think they can go head to head with tanks without adjust their gameplay. It is amazing how often tanks are just fixated on looking 1 direction.
Tank speed seems pretty good now, imo.

Last night I blow out 3 tanks in 1 game took me half of the game to play cat and mouse but is passible
Solution for TANK SPAM is simple CCP can put a limit for tanks in battle let say 2per team like is now with calling a total of vehicle in a team quad

I spend 90% of my Dust time on this toon, and that's all infantry (mostly logi, a little assault and scout). 1.7 has not made the game any more difficult or less fun for this character.
I have two alts, one is skilled almost exclusively into vehicles. For the first time since I started playing, around March, this toon is tons of fun to play, and...I don't want to jinx it, but...capable of running a profit. My other alt is a heavy...it's slightly more difficult to kill tanks with my Assault Forge, but I still kill more than kill me.
I really think people just need to adjust to the idea of tanks being present on the battlefield, and moving with an awareness of them. I don't want to go back to them being a weird novelty that only 10 people could run profitably.
RDVs are a failed experiment - can't we just remove them from the game?

Not a 25mil SP player myself but, as someone relatively new whom was having a blast before 1.7, I agree wholeheartedly. It's sad when movies & not playing after a few matches is a better option for an evening.
Plus, what's up with the matchmaking all of a sudden like?-- last night I played 20 matches or so & my side won once. It seemed, every time, that we were matched with a full squad of protos. Probably because those can't play FW because of their FF bans. That said, I had more fun playing FW but skirmish every time gets repetitive (plus no ISK; I'm relatively new & don't have millions stashed away.) |

The only mode that's really broken is Ambush - tanks can't hack anything, and the redzone in Domination or Skirmish should offer enough cover to get your own tanks into the match. A Sica with 2 militia damage amps can wreck the best possible tanks, it should cost you about 80K. Solved.

All tankers want is a challenge, why make it easy on them. I try and drive bomb with remote explosive loaded dropships. Not very cost effective but worth it somehow......
