I'm killing tanks by the handful? Skill into AV a bit, don't run at a tank screaming "Gobbdlyguk!" unless you're in a Matari Mobile Missile (Jihad Jeep). Bring a friend, play it safe and smart, or call in a tank.....all of which viable options. Granted, the right team will abuse having tanks around, even if the tankers suck, so if it looks that way, just avoid the tanks whenever possible and kill the infantry, make it easier for your AV to work.
side note: I have adjusted to the new swarms already....I make it work just fine now. |

Horrible I cant even play for 3 matches before i just Cant anymore. Ok, I'll let you in on a "secret"... About half those tanks out there are there due to the other half. What I mean is someone brings out a tank. So someone else realizes that the best counter is another tanks, only you don't need a beefy high-skilled tank to kill another tank. You can just use a Militia one. Who can get out a militia tank? Just about everyone will not so many skillpoints. combine that with how cheap they are and there you have it. The arms race.
Not "just about everyone"....EVERYone can bring out a MLT tank lol. All you need is 70k ISK and a few seconds to fit the tank. |

Tankers want to have fun, they want to be viable on the battlefield, they finally are now, ridiculous aspects of the game have been addressed like 400m swarm lock range, invisible avers at 50m, and OP roof top forge gunners denying any vehicle a meaningful role on the map.
Try not to pretend that a Buff in Tanking isn't also responsible, I know because I do both. 10 mil tanker and 14 mil infantry spec AVer. The range + DMG drop for swarms, plus a reduction in clip size at Proto, + a damage reduction to AV grenades, combined with the Buff to Tank EHP and number of tanks results in an imbalance. I'm not crying about it personally because I blow tanks up just the same...just takes a bit of prior planning on my part, but let's not attribute it solely to one side or the other. |
