I am referring to the Gallente Research facility and equipment spam at the supply depot. After the game bogs down they spam grenades. Easy win. More and more corps are resorting to this tactic. Go ahead sully the battfield with your style of combat. We will be exiting these matches. You are not worth our bullets or our attention. These same corps get stomped in a fair fight so we will find them in other battles and make them suffer. If you received or receive this message its not a compliment.

You've all seen us about and we fight to the end good or bad. This sort of engagement is beneath us and my Wolves have standing orders to RTB. It does us no good to train and compete in these theaters of war, so we won't.

So let me get this straight here. Your upset because the go to strategy for a specific map is to throw hives and links and secure a particular area. Instead of suggesting constructive ways of finding a solution to the problem you instead call out a few corps, without even calling them out. (which is a shame for humor's sake)

That being said many people are fairly competitive and will do whatever it takes to win. Sometimes that means adapting to a broken game mechanic to succeed. I hate to be the one to break it to you but BattleCoD 514 is pretty broken right now.
There have been lag and frame rate issues in PC since PC began. Those issues are now moving into pub matches. CCP really needs to do some optimization and fix the core of this game. In fact they need to do that more than anything else in this game.

Lag switching is a myth in this game. If you think it is possible you really need to do some ******* research.

If you have ever played a logi before you would know that it is extremely easy to get 2000+ Wp in a game without getting a kill.
90% of the WP rewards are equipment based. That means that the suit with the most equipment will have the best possible chance of getting a lot of WP. That is not balanced.

The fact of the matter is CCP really needs to do a massive texturing and optimization overhaul. No one is cheating, the game is broken.

do you know what I love the most about this thread ...its all the mercs who are guilty of lagging maches out with equipment spam are defending themselves by pretending that they are none the wiser about the consequences of their spam .....and yes 3 or 4 uplinks spread out in tactical locations is fine but throwing down 10+ uplinks and 30+ nanno hives round an underground supply depo where no one can get close because of the lag to flux it clean IS NOT a valid tactic it is simply abusing faulty game mechanics and pretty much cheating ......possibly the folks responsible have no other way to pad their stats we should all feel sorry for them while they sit in their moms basements wondering why they never succeeded in life

And I still find it funny that the purpose of the uplinks and hives was to "lag switch" instead of having ammo and places to spawn. Mass drivers are very effective on that map. Mass drivers burn through ammo quickly. Thus running an effective mass driver fit requires a few hives.

It's not any players fault that the equipment that is needed during a match is sometimes enough to lag out a match. Everyone here has bemoaned that fact. All it takes is a few people thinking "oh hey, domination - I should toss an uplink out" and you can easily get 10+ uplinks without planning it. If we wanted to break the game we'd find a more entertaining way of doing it. and then if we're called out we'd say "**** you, TEST IS BEST"

This is not one of those cases. But please, keep talking about your "vidya gaem honor codes".

Saying using lots of uplinks of domination is cheating is just wrong. That's how you play the gorram mode. In most modes the game is decided by who has the better spawns, and more uplinks gives your team better options and makes it much harder to push be pushed out of an objective. It's just basic logic for people to have a good number of uplinks and hives in an area you are defending.

And accusing people of lying and cheating because you lost is a hell of a lot more dishonorable than using the equipment that's in the game the way it's meant to be used.

it is an exploit currently. My corp is logi heavy. We use uplinks and hives too. No hives need to be by a supply depot. What is happening and what you are defending is a frame rate drop caused by spamming equipment. This must be the meta you all take so much pride in.

we can tell when its getting to be to much equipment on the field. At this point you can employ reppers and use up the links. Not hard, it sounds like you are one of the guys that continues to contribute to an overall broken mechanic. That's your choice, what will you do when and if they gimp your signature move? I know it won't hurt us one bit.

If you can't confine/eliminate players in a small room that has only two exit, you're either doing it wrong or you're playing against opponents that are better than you.

I get all kinds of lag in different matches, equipment spam or not. I just keep fighting through it or avoid the area of lag and let those that can get at the enemy.

It can be a deciding factor, but not always.

Seems to be a LOT of threads made by the BBW lately all crying about something or other reason why they lose matches. Could it be that they are just needing to work on their game plan a little more? I have noticed that they get stomped on a LOT!

im now laughing my ass of at some of the responses of folks defending the spam ......pretending they have never experienced the lag due to equipment spamming ..especially in locations where the lag makes it impossible to get near and clear out. this is hilarious these guy's actually kid themselves that doing this is an actual victory , lol how is this game going to retain new players when these guys are intentionally lagging out maps to the point of unplayable .. don't worry we shall have vids soon of this as one of our wolves has started recording ...... then everyone here who defends this tactic will look like utter pisshead mourns.

I've noticed if you ignore them they go away. This thread isnt about them. It was supposed to be about us. We can get dragged into an engagement with these guys but they will just resort to their one trick pony. Let em defend their pathetic tactic.
