Hello everyone.
As well all know there is a speed glitch affecting the tanks. Thats why we see them literally flying around the map.
Once this issue is fixed tanks should be a lot better in general. (balance wise) But i also have a few other ideas on how to slow tanks down to give AV a better chance to kill.
When hardeners are active, slow the tank down by 20% Seems like something that could be helpful for taking out tanks, so they can't just hardener and gtfo, as quickly as normal.
Tank speed in general needs a slight drop as well. I don't know the numbers, but seeing some of them go so fast, without a speed mod active. Shows that they need a drop in max speed.
Tanks currently aren't unkillable. But that insane speed makes them have almost no time spent in a vulnerable position, eg hardeners are down.

Huh, that's a really good idea actually. Making hardeners reduce a tank's top speed by 20% when active. A rational explanation could be that they draw an extreme amount of power to work and must borrow some to the propulsion
Honestly I would just wait for CCP to implement WP for AV damaging tanks and see how it goes.

You can't slow a vehicle down when the hardener is active because you eliminate one of two options anyone has when they encounter a threat, fight or flight. Simply pulling our one militia swarm launcher would force vehicles to fight in situations they may not want to. While I agree HAV's in particular need there base speed reduced your idea as a whole out right sucks. |

people keep saying tanks are unkillable but I've lost plenty(50+) of them and I'm a fully speced tanker. maybe it's because when the other team has 6 and my team has 0 I still keep killing 2 to 3 per tank I lose. |
