Av user's (some of them) are simple minded and anything that requiring more than 2 actions is impossible for them to comprehend, Even Though that 5k shield Gun logi is hardened there still going to shoot at it with swarms and Av nade's and Cry that there weapons don't work on a tank that have a passive resistance to them -_- |

Normally when the tank retreats. its because his resistance is off and he's in trouble so he goes to his redline.. but you stand inbetween him and the redline and take him out.
I would love to follow them around in my LAV it's just my LAV is to slow to keep up....

max SP tank in 1.6 could sustain fire from a single proto AV weapony for atleast 20 seconds. was shown by math and vids motnths ago. |

I had over 9 mil sp into Shield vehicles in 1.6. Im not an armor tank that keeps repping 400 armor every second for 15 seconds, im not an armor tank that has god resistance (I survived off 33% passive resistance and a surge) Im not a fast armor tank with nitros, i barley accelerated faster than a heavy.. Would you like to show me some of those videos you were talking about?

Part of the balance for tanks is the fact that they can only maintain their durability in short bursts.
Obviously, that doesn't negate the point that your tank is that powerful at its peak AND costs less than a Prototype Dropsuit. I can see a lot of potential for the new vehicle mechanics, but they've balanced Standard vehicles against Prototype AV. Pricing and other things WILL be off until they address that. |

how long? well, for 30 seconds I am practically invincible to infantry. I can easily unleash hell upon everyone on sight for ~25 seconds and then get out with my high speed. note I am NOT using the bugged mlt nitro, speed is huge even without the bug.
a proto suit dies in 0.5 seconds to everything and costs more... it does not matter that I can only do it in "bursts" cause I can do it over and over and when I do not overextend with my tank I will rarely lose it.
the risk vs reward is out of proportion here. |

All I'm saying is that the 20k EHP figure is misleading. Not severely so, but it doesn't give the whole picture. Also, yeah, you CAN run away pretty easily, but sometimes, you run from one threat into another, and at that point, you need to consider the vulnerability of your tank while your modules are on cooldown. |

That's all well and good, but I like I said what do we do while they are hardened? Flee in terror?
This is the point im making, while your hardened you should be tough but not invincible, we should at least be able to get you to bug out with 2-3 guys on equal tier AV. We should be able to defend ourselves! Our squad av specialists should be able to supress or deny a theatre of war to a HAV.
But instead they slap on the hardners, and tank a good clip from 4 SL, and almost as much from forges! And you still insist there not OP, when the method of dealing with when there on is Hiding?

It's the only reason they can be nearly as fast as light but it's not the only reason they're fast. They're about as fast as an LAV and can accelerate almost as quickly. The only thing slow about them right now is turning; I know this because I tried them out and was able to keep a stock soma alive an entire dom match on Manus Peak with there being proto swarms on the enemy team.

Wait for one them to be on cool down and hope the other 4 don't gang bang you while you try to destroy it. Ken suggests having a tanker in your squad but that won't do much good because any tanks he takes out will easily and quickly be replaced while he's defending himself from the others. If it's an ambush, after his 1st tank goes down he'll never get the chance to call in another because at least one of the enemy tanks will see it coming in and will get to it with plenty of time to destroy it.
