As an Amarr loyalist its breaks my heart to say this but "I have a hard on for that RR" the sound is so futuristic and sexy the assault variant is my favorite kinda reminds me of a m14 or is it m16?

I haven't gotten a chance to try the Rail, the COmbat rifle is awesome though, both variants (though I like the assault a little better). That rail rifle is a beast on the battlefield but also a beast to fit on one's suit. I was worried the burst CR would suck liek the burst AR does, it most certainly doesn't though |

I love the assault CR it's an AR variant of an SMG i personally wouldn't use it in PC tho just for pubs

I went proficiency 4 on the CR and really like both models. I trained ops 3 for RR and it's not bad. As a Matari faction warrior the CR makes more sense. At this point I think all the rifles are balanced to each other and it's now down to personal preference.

I've been playing with the Prototype RR, and it's a ton of fun. I'm finally getting the hang of the hipfire and how to play with it. You simply cannot understand how much fun it is to kill the people who think they are out of range until you try it. |

I have been using standard variations of both weapons, and I must say I am loving the CR. It is probably a little OP, but I love weapons that behave similarly in all games.
With that said, I have gotten some nice kills with the RR as well. No matter what, it is nice seeing more diversity in the game, instead of everybody running duvolles.

I've tried both, I equipped my girlfriend's Logistics fitting with a combat rifle and watching her twitch people to death with the burst fire was awesome. I'm not so talented with it though. Personally I love the Rail Rifle, it's the perfect range for my scouting needs, I can keep reds at a distance where I cannot be detected and fire away from ambush. If I keep my Scrambler Pistol on my hip for reds who might wander into close range I have a pretty decent time. I have Rail Rifle fits for long range and my trusty Shotgun for CQC.
TLDR: I <3 the RR. |

Rail Rifle all the way. It actually got me to give up up my SMG on my logi-suit. It's been Eons since i've had this kind of range.
I don't like the Combat Rifle. At all. I've never liked burst-fire weapons in FPS games though.
