Let's start with the fact that I can't reply with my eve characters? Can I assume this answers my question about are you still planning to strengthen the Eve - Dust connection?
I pay for 3 Eve accounts. I live in wormhole space, all 9 characters. I extract on 19 planets. My Dust characters are worthless to me and my corp.
Any plans on PvE for making Isk, so us carebears can afford PvP? Or even just do PvE because we are carebears? Economics fixed.
Time to kill...that statement revealed that you should have no say in this games balance. Yes, I hear "why won't this guy die" on comms sometimes. He won't die, because he has a good tank. He spent Isk and skill points to get it. Before one of us puts the other out of his misery? You make it sound like you are balancing around a 1v1, and saying it should be over quickly regardless classes or fits?
I will second the saddened sentiment. |

This interview upsets me as it shows that ccp is disconecting from the players. This stance on TTK just proves our discussions in the forums as well as lack of blue posts proves as much. Add into account that the commando and probally assault bonuses will make TTK that much shorter is proof that ccp is acting like other corporations and ignoring its fan base. To start off, to help with TTK, most weapons dps should be universal. Let's say a TTK 1.5-2.5 secs to kill. Alpha damage wepons are excluded, as either you have to close a huge gap while being fired upon, or like the sniper, have to line up the shot from great distance to apply damage. Also their is the balance issue of ammo held and ammo per magazine. Ammo pools should all be equal (lights vs lights, sidearms vs sidearms) allowing players to be able to do the same ammount of damage if they spend all available ammo. Each magazine should provide the same amount of kills if all rounds hit. |

I have a couple things I would like to say and ask. 1) Is 1.8 going to even out the tanks? I ask this because even thought the tank is a tank one-two men should be able to take it on with an Anti vehicle class. It should not take 3 swarm launchers or2-3 forge gunners. You may need to up the AV damage and same with forge gun and swarm launcher, remember these guns are specific to take on vehicles and deliver devastating blows. 2) Are heavies going to become how they should? Personally I believe a heavy should not be able to be taken 1 v 1 by someone unless that some one has a shotgun or a proto weapon or another heavy. Heavies job descriptions are in the name, they should be buffed but not too much. 3) What are some of the new classes coming in 1.8? 4) finally, is there really going to be a respect? if so when and for what?
One of my thoughts were also this, and I have heard a lot of people talk about this, where there is an infantry mode only. The talk is that they ,CCP, should create a game mode with no vehicles in it minus the LAV's for transportation. But I think that this mode would be really nice to relieve some of the rage when the enemy team spawns 3-5 tanks. Mentioning spawning tanks, there should be a limit to how many tanks allowed by one team inside of the actual vehicle quota.
