we tankers put the most isk on the battlefield why lose it to cheap AV
If a tank is retreating from battle because of AV it is useless at that moment. why does it have to pop
if i wanted to run die repeat i would have went infantry.
tanks make no sense atm.
just my 2 cents

See what I can do with them...watch armor still be completely dominant still and my tank still hardmode...well I guess thats how I play anyway...Main is scout, pistol, plasma cannon...basic reactive and nothing heavier..

if they quit that is on them.
even at STD tank levels it cost more sp for moduels turrets etc. to be countr with a scru with no more tha level 3 in eithsr forge gun or swarm launcher.
wewill have to see how1.7 plays out though

PRO AV is balanced against those "STD" tanks. There will be no proto tanks, tanks are tiercided unlike infantry.
MLT and STD are useless, ADV is just passable, PRO works nicely.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

So if you truly want to call a tank STD, then it has to run nothing but STD gear.
HAVs are simply tiercided.
You can limit infantry to STD AV if you are limited to STD and Basic modules.

Yeah it might happen. BUT its VERY map Dependant. There are maps where its simply impossible to kill a tank because of all the cover they offer and going vs a tank at ground level is just suicide.

Yeah my tank would easily shred a MLT garbage fit. That's like saying the best way to deal with Nyain San squads would be to run starter fits
So a class should be so powerful that the best way to deal with them would be to use a variant of that class?

AV grenades are getting nerfed into the ground, and Remote Explosives? That requires a pilot to not notice the loud beeping sound that you get when your about to run over a RE/Proxy.
Reduce turret range? Won't help when the vehicle is up in your face.

1st- If i have full maxed AV i should be able to fight a Full maxed Tank.At the end of the day its just 1 player vs another. 2nd-Yeah i have great games vs random scrubs 2, like 60-2 with a MLT ar. I just dont brag about it.

If you want to be the best counter against yourselves, then you can't be effective against infantry as well.
You can be Anti-Vehicle or Anti-Infantry. But you can't be good at both; just like AV.
And before you even say "Well what about the FG?"; the FG's description is Anti-Material.
Meaning it's designed for both infantry and vehicles.

A person in a PRO suit can easily get wrecked by an ADV or STD and heck, even a starter fit if they aren't careful. Using PRO gear simply gives you a slight edge over ADV gear, but it is far from an easy win button.
Unless your using a Duvolle Assault Rifle.

My MK.0 scout gets killed by MLT crap even faster than your tank. And for the 350 HP they have , 160k per suit is a robbery
ANYONE in PROTO gear can be killed by MLT/STD gear easily. if the player with proto gear is not skilled enough that is.

And Proximity Explosives? I can easily survive even 6 of them.

My MK.0 scout gets killed by MLT crap even faster than your tank. And for the 350 HP they have , 160k per suit is a robbery ANYONE in PROTO gear can be killed by MLT/STD gear easily. if the player with proto gear is not skilled enough that is. thats a scout problem, wer're talking logis and assaults, maybe not cal assaults

I personally thing with should have a special type of slot, similar to infantry equipment slots for goodies such as Active Scanners and Nitrous.
That way, shield tank users won't be f***ed over by the fact that they can barely fit anything on thier vehicles without sacrificing tons of HP.
This is also why the Charybolis has 4 highs and 2 lows while the Limbus gets 3 highs and 3 lows.

I've had tanks i tried to SOLO (yeah yeah i know shush) With my PROTO BREACH FORGE GUN, PROF 5, 2 Cx Damage mods and they take 4 hits to the face like its nothing, and their reppers get them to almost full life while im reloading. heh....
(Of course MLT ones usually dont last more than 2. DS fall in 1 shot usually unless they are LLAvs)

I dont tower snipe. I do however look for a comfty position since im a HEAVY, with a weapon that SUCKS against INFATRY, and i CANT EVEN MOVE while charging it...

Maybe you need to stop relying so much on SPLASH DAMAGE and get your aim right.

We will have SOME balance, at least until you people get ADV and Pro Tanks, then every infantry guy will quit this game... if they quit that is on them. even at STD tank levels it cost more sp for moduels turrets etc. to be countr with a scru with no more tha level 3 in eithsr forge gun or swarm launcher. wewill have to see how1.7 plays out though
The game was balanced now, but your a scrub who never played any pro PC, where tankers only died 3 or 4 times if they where good, and that was against the best AVers in PC TP NF and imps fact is most tankers play like crap and suck at their jobs. its a tank not a super invulnerable death machine. fact is few play to the level of ninja and bob thecake man to name a few, most ppl who play tanks are just bad, your prob one of them. Being a tanker is high risk high reward. most people cant get the reward because they dont have the skill. |

And unless your a Gunnlogi pilot you are fast enough to escape them. But Gunnlogies have a base resistance to AV grenades anyway.
