Here is how I used to run my Gallente assault.
1 complex dmg mod 1 enhanced dmg mod 1 complex extender 2 complex reppers 2 enhanced plates.
A 6 percent reduction and a little over 700 ehp.
Thing is, I will still be able to get that level of ehp on my suit, but if I wanna avoid the delay I have to drop the extender and put on 2 complex plates.
I now have to choose between a depleted delay or a 10 percent movement penalty, up from 6.

3x Complex Shield Ext 2x Complex Dmg Mod
1x Basic Armor 1x CPU enh
Duvolle m512 m1
With the added penalty, I have to trade off dmg mods for eHP because I only have 2 lows and no CPU/PG to run anything w/o enhancers. Can't dodge the delay at all, and at most have less than 600 lolehp on an assault suit.

TBH, I don't think anyone will notice any change in delays aside from stats on paper. |

Lows: 1x complex armor rep 1x Basic Plate 1x Enhanced plate 1x Complex plate
Mids: Duvolle PAR Toxin SMG Allotek Flux Grenade 80% Nanite Injector
382 CPU 73 PG consumed

It's terrible. Extenders already have a penalty. They have much lower HP than plates because they have various bonuses built in.
It used to be the case that you chose between pure HP, or reduced HP with a benefits package. Introducing a penalty to shield extenders defeats the purpose of running shields in the first place.
They could have achieved this better by introducing new shield modules that would function similar to the energizers we have now.

Who even has shields? is a 22hp and 33 hp basic and STD shield extender really worth nerfing further?
NO ONE USES SHIELDS NO MORE WELCOME TO TWO PATCHES AGO CCP?!?!

usually when I'm using anything other than shotguns, REs, or Nova Knives, I just do this:
1 Complex DMG mod 4 Enhanced Armor Plates Compact Nanohive Any kind of Rifle (usually Carthum Assault Rifle or Allotek AR), Pistol, or SMG Viziam Pistol or Ishukone SMG M1 Grenade
note: I often time run dual sidearms, usually PROTO pistol and PROTO SMG, but sometimes I may switch it up (i.e Boundless SMG and Ishukone SMG).
Tell me, how exactly DOES a biscuit gain Valor?

Maybe Cody, I'm at work now so can't see the suits but I think the problem is I max out PG with anything other than a CPU in low slot. The PG is god awful and if I don't run CPU, I still don't have enough PG to run anything else (If I run another armor plate I gimp speed but also run out of CPU for highs). I could start knocking things back to adv level, but in a suit that's a glass cannon to begin with I won't live long enough for shield regs to outweigh the dmg mods. |

You do realize that this is a stacking penalty right? And that it will only come in to effect with the second extender?
You won't be affected.

now I'm not totally against the shield Nerf, but i think it's funny a bunch of guys in gallente suits are coming in here and going, "hey, the shield Nerf isn't so bad after all! guess I'll just remove my one extender!"

Drop scanner and go 2 complex extenders - that should only be 3% delay or drop one extender for a damage mod.
My new way is a return to my RE's or sometimes a compact hive, It can repair you twice (if you dont need too much ammo) |
