You need to tell the DEVs they may have just lost the remaining scouts due to shotty leaving, and by extension the registy being closed.
Although I doubt they even care at this point.

Not my job to coerce and hold hostages. Sorry. I am sure his leaving is noted, I am also quite sure that if his leaving was to be blamed on any 'balance' changes there is little to nothing anyone can do to change that penalty back.
Without this penalty cal logi would be the next screamed about thing as people gravitate towards the new anti-armor rifles and make a laughing stock of the current fotm and shields becomes the next in the barrel to be chased in an imperfect balanced game we have.

So, uh. Shouldn't there be more checks and balance systems that prevent this from happening? Like, more Suits? More weapons? A diverse selection of modules, E-War and the like? IDK. |

Scrambler Rifles are sort of new. There were a handful but it wasn't prevalent. The game at this point should not be this susceptible to a sudden rise of FoTM. The current FoTM is thanks to the power of Burst. The ScR ability to charge a shot and the ARs absurdly ease of use and power. Shields get wrecked. Armor isn't far behind.
There is another issue here and it's not shield recharge rate. |

At first I thought you were poking fun at the Scouts and joking around...
But then I checked the stats.
It''s pretty f***ed up when deplorable equipment has more HP than 99.99% of all suits in your entire class.

I can assure you that nobody will be flocking to the Calogi for it's shield capabilities.
They need to boost the damage resistances to respective HP types. Significantly, as it is HP is HP and it's easier to fit armor than shields. It's pretty simple.
It takes at least 7 complex shield modules on a Caldari suit to make the shields really shine and it takes 2 CPU mods if you want a decent weapon and equipment. Even with (2) complex shield regulators and the suit bonus the regen isn't good enough for anything but camping on the outskirts.
The TTK has shields in a bad place.
Instead of regulators and rechargers you can fit 2 basic plates and 2 damage mods and bet better off from an HP standpoint. Pre 1.4 I NEVER fit a damage mods because I wanted every last bit out of my shield performance. Now I have some proto fits with basic shield extenders.

Imperfect imbalance is what we had when the Negative-Feedback alliance was still relevant. Anyway perfect imbalance doesn't work in progressive development without core content and established core mechanics. We need incomparables but that seems to take too much effort than simply applying preemptive band aids to bigger problems. I thought development would have learned something over the course of a year but apparently no DICE.

238 pages, for those of you who who didn't ever read it. I could probably count the number of times I posted in it on 2 hands, but it was a marker, a small little token to a minority of the community. I'm not one to look at my stats but I loved to see my name on the killboard, I hated being on post 2 it was the reason I played most days. the registry gave me a purpose, to make it to the OP and let my name stand amongst the greats.
2.5k+ was my goal it was enough to get me into the OP and when I hit 2.5 I was ecstatic there is a post somewhere in that threadnaught of me announcing to the world that I made the OP. 2 weeks after I got there he moved the minimum to 5k+, and that was the new goal there wasn't a question, a thought, nothing, it was simply I am good enough and I will re-earn my spot. I just need to play more, at that point I was hitting mental numbers like 400 kills between updates. I've since started playing more moderately but 5k is still the goal, the reason I play.
I hope this helps, I don't know, like does the player base at large know what the scout registry is? did my post help you understand how important this is? kitten all my words, where did they go...

Hey! Thanks for all the kind words, guys. To be perfectly clear, I'm not biomassing this character. I'm dialing back my "commitment" to Dust as well as my "contribution" to the Forums. I'll still post up "LFS" in Scouts United from time-to-time. :-)
To IWS: Firstly, thanks for everything. Secondly, present discontent has very little (if anything) to do with the contents of 1.7 ... much more to do with Uprising in general, specifically CCP's perceived lack of concern over weapon/role balance. Problems tend to be prioritized and fixed, so I'm pretty sure CCP doesn't see the problems we Scouts have pointed out for them. Time and time again. So I'm done wasting time with Feedback and Forums. For the record, I agree with every word you wrote in CPM's TTK thread. Good luck seeing this progressive thinking through to implementation. It will make for a better Dust. |

To clarify, present discontent has very little (if anything) to do with the contents of 1.7. It has much, much more to do with Uprising in general. Specifically, CCP's perceived lack of concern over weapon/role balance.
Problems tend to be prioritized and fixed, so I'm pretty sure CCP has assigned zero-to-low priority to the balance issues that matter to Scouts. The balance issues we've identified for them for the past 7 months. The Registry has had a good run, but it failed to raise our priority level. So I'm done wasting time with Feedback and Forums, and I refuse to further peddle false hope to noble Scout brothers.
For the record, I agree with every word you wrote in CPM's TTK thread. Good luck seeing your thoughts through to implementation. It will make for a better Dust. o7 |

But in terms of suit/module balancing i'd expect to see a lot of that in 1.8 if it is the infantry patch.
I'm surprised the TTK wasn't adjusted.

The SCR was always extremely powerful statistic's wise we had giant debates about that more then the flaylock before we got the weapons.
The SCR didn't really start shinning until HD was improved, and the weapon was performing those statistic's in an environment where bullets actually hit.
There is no surprise here... the Theory crafters inform CCP what is gonna happen each time... then CCP nod's their head and pretend's to understand... But they haven't the slightest clue what that guy was talking about because they don't understand the day to day game play in DUST...
CCP dev's should be given a day every week where they all have to squad up and play for 3-4 hour's without rage quitting.
