You know, Dust 514's location on my drive is right on top of Demon's Souls.

It's fitting because this game is such a pain in the ass at times, but also so satisfying.

I can get so pissed off and just be like "ARRRG, **** CCP! THIS GAME IS COMPLETE ASS! EVERYONE THAT PLAYS THIS GAME IS ASS!" I always come back a hour or so later and I'm just like "I hate my life but this is so good" as I stab someone with nova knives as heavy.

It causes such pain but such satisfaction.

If it weren't for the fact that you can be a big fish in a small pond on DUST, you wouldn't play it either. Because this game is far to terrible to be playing for any reason other than being able to dominate the likes of which you could never do on other titles with actual opposition.

If you want people to quit, you and your Corp can keep protostomping, then when you've driven off the new players completely you can be the kings of a video game that is already regarded as a complete failure by it's own statistics and every publication that has looked into the game.

Go brag to your friends that you are the kind of DUST 514. Then after they say "what is DUST 514?" you can bore them with trying to fill them in on a game that only 4000 people ever cared about.

Since you're obviously a child, I'll fill you in on something us adults learn after we've grown up. We stop talking after we realize how much people view as pathetic. Being top dog on a video game with 4000 players is pathetic. Trying to ruin the game for you're own selfish ego because you finally got to taste what success is, though on a video game, is pathetic. You're pathetic. But, you're ignorant now, so you'll have to wait a few more years until you realize that one.

Next step is when nobody is going to care about what you say because you fueled to a problem.

I'm not new, but I am fighting for the new guys. The more people that play DUST and actually stick with it, the better the game will be because more voices will be here to tell CCP what priorities they need to attend to.

Oh also, the turnover rate of this game far exceeds the posts about it. You're only hearing about 1% of the quitters, the rest do just pack up and leave and never say anything. CCP's new player numbers are in the red zone. But what do you care? You don't want the game to grow. At the current rate, the game is scheduled to die in about 24 months, because even you'll have moved on by then.

It seems to be the trend to quit and look for accolades. I much more respect the soldiers who stay!

Its easy to say I quit. Its tougher to help!

HowDidThatTaste, you are short sided,

this is the worst mentality to have. You have to realize that because you are in a very good corp that pays well; that has a very good, very skilled, inner community, that you are going to see things differently.

I highly doubt that you would be posting this after going 2/15 for the 6th game in a row because you have only 600k SP and keep forgetting that the "triangle" button is used to crouch, not to switch your weapon.

When speaking in terms of Vets leaving, maybe you just need to realize that most vets have higher standards than what Dust currently is. You cannot fault them for that. I've played Dust and Battlefield 4 at 480p and you know what? BF4 beats Dust by a gigantic margin.

BF4's network coding, even though it's not great, is miles ahead of what Dust is currently at. Dust's network coding is completely random. Since i've started playing in 480p (9 days ago), I believe I solved a large portion of the console limitations (steady and [more] consistent frame rate, had not frozen yet, ect.), however there are major problems still with hit detection, occasional frame rate dips, and especially the ridiculous, obvious, imbalances that make PC and the rest of the game a joke to the entire community.

The "Quitters" input is important for CCP because they are too incompetent to create a good game on their own. CCP NEEDs direction. They have never done this before and they are clueless as to how to make a solid, good FPS. KEEP IN MIND: CCP is not making this game for YOU and the other (only) 10k people that bother to log on (and play) regularly.
