If it weren't for the fact that you can be a big fish in a small pond on DUST, you wouldn't play it either. Because this game is far to terrible to be playing for any reason other than being able to dominate the likes of which you could never do on other titles with actual opposition.

If you want people to quit, you and your Corp can keep protostomping, then when you've driven off the new players completely you can be the kings of a video game that is already regarded as a complete failure by it's own statistics and every publication that has looked into the game.

Go brag to your friends that you are the kind of DUST 514. Then after they say "what is DUST 514?" you can bore them with trying to fill them in on a game that only 4000 people ever cared about.

CCP's new player numbers are in the red zone. But what do you care? You don't want the game to grow. At the current rate, the game is scheduled to die in about 24 months, because even you'll have moved on by then.

I was victim to proto stomps too but from Mr, Zitro, Alldin Kan, Regnyum, Ninjanomyx running in a squad....

When i was running pub's in militia i had to watch out for Annie Oakley and Calamity Jane and Tryhard514... markof22... LordChaos...Exmaple in his heavy suit of death. Viziam lasers that did 2k damage in .8 seconds if it hit the head.

And that challenge and that talent is what made me log on everyday and get better to the point where i could compete with those people.

We barely have a taste of what Pubstomps where.... Not even a taste of the quality FPS players from MAG, Soccom, CS, Bf3, COD etc etc.. are playing this game now... the average player of DUST these day's is ....

Pubstomp's now are nothing... i have a militia AR that can melt any proto and AA that will track the target's for me.

Others seem to dust their hand's off and blame CCP... its funny.

Playing a (free) online FPS game with a bunch of like minded people, having a bit of a laugh; getting a buzz when we do it well, its good. I also see a lot of posts from people who say they enjoy the game. That's simply not true. The amount of players that had and used proto gear back then was a fraction of the players now. I ran across the big wigs of DUST 514 all the time, but I never saw 1-3 full protosquads on a team EVERY single game. It is much more difficult to be a new player in DUST now than it was then. Tanks and Laser were really the only headache back then, and you didn't even see those every single match. I played Teamplayers once every 4-5 matches, and they weren't that good back then compared to the Protosquads we have today. If you were to start this game brand new today, you wouldn't be playing it anymore as well. New players are getting protostomped every single game, would you stick with a game that you go 2/16, 2/10, 0/10 game-after-game and see that the only way you catch up is by grinding for a year to get enough SP to be on a level playing field? Your MLT AR has Prototype Skills behind it. And a Starter fit can never beat a Proto fit in a one on gun fight, never; especially if the player lacks experience playing the game. When I play on my alt, I only use starter fits. I have 0 SP put into anything. Its a naked account. A Proto has 5-7x the amount of HP I have and has a maxed out Duvolle. I can shoot him in the back, but he has plenty of health and superior gun to simply turn around and kill me. I outplayed him, but his gear gave him "skill" he didn't normally have. Think about the last time a Militia AR killed you in a one-on-one gun fight in this game... because I can't remember the last time that happened to me.

The greatest hypocrisy in your post is saying that you are the adult in this situation. My goodness no. Conversely, CCP doesn't seem to have interest in taking the initiative to modify their plan to satisfy the FPS community. Tell that to the millions of people that stick to CS, COD, BF and HALO. Those people count in the hundreds of thousands with concurrent logons. You know the difference? Those games are fun and balanced. Now look at DUST 514 where balance doesn't exist, roles are arbitrary and CCP blatantly lies to customers. The game is in "commercial release" and half the suits/vehicles/weapons are not even in game, and some are actually being removed. The MMO part of DUST is non-existent and every move CCP has made since May 14th has been detrimental to player progression liking DUST more to a Korean grind type MMO than a progressive level based FPS. Also, leaderboard rankings are meaningless without a true to form ranked matchmaking system ala CS, HALO or COD.

You can't say a game is better than a video game console; it's comparing apples and oranges. I do wish though that the PS4 would get Dust 514, so that I can play it on my PS4 when it comes out.
