Locus grenades in general are 1 hit ko weapons.
Forge guns , plasma cannons and remote explosives belong to this list too but don't kill people as frequently as grenades do. Reduce the frequency at which the one hit ko and boom we have balance again. Please reduce grenade damage.

Headshot multiplier i have nade pics doing far more damage. I think Orca had one of a militia doing like 1500?

I am guessing you have never played BF3.
Same mechanic there. 1 grenade, no ability to cook, lethal if they land on target. You use them to flush targets out of cover. Grenade launchers work better, but only the assault class could use it. I used them all the time while playing as recon.

and if you dont have shields left on an Amarr assault with 533 armor, a militia will OHK you for 540 damage without headshot bonusses...

Show me these pics because a 50% increase accounts for both the headshot multiplier and the armor multiplier. |

Why not? It was dang useful to force people out of headglitches. IMO grenades are used to clear rooms, and if you remove the cook mechanic, you turn it into a utility weapon instead of a killing weapon.
You will see more people use it tactically instead of spamming them like hell trying to get kills. Since they can be easily avoided, idiots will waste all of their grenades, but skilled players can use them to great effectiveness (albeit in a specialized role, which is to force people to move from a location)

But then again, i once got mowed over by a Lav that hit the back of my shoe-sole for 10.000 damage...i doubt that counter is fool-proof they got at ccp
i remember being hit for far more then 719 from militia grenadesn, but i dont recall it exactly, the 719 happened yesterday and it dropped aprox 5 meters away from me and i laughed ....ill be OK! ....and theeeen it hit me ....so i doubt it was a headshot...

I dunno, ive never relied on grenades as a weapon, maybe its an old habbit from our Doom 1,2 & 3 days where we didnt have grenades to kill each other with, or my half-life & CS days, was all about headshotting people.
I guess its a generation thing...

I have been on this game since the early stages of closed beta, since then I have ran every role in the game and could have spec'd into a few of them I decided I would choose Minmatar suits (speed increase) and explosive weapons (high damage)

i only recently upgraded to lvl5 Grenadier and I will admit....... WOW
but...
I have seen multiple guys survive damage from the supposed OHK core locus and to be fair if your are not running a Pro suit then a Pro grenade should mess you up,
as a Minmatar i can relate to being OHK a bit too often but thats part of the game and comes along with a trademark..

nerfing the capabilties of grenades would be the equivalent of removing Damage Mods and Proficiency skills so if this debate will continue keep in mind - any level 5 offensive skills reward extra killing power so grenades deserve to wreck faces @ max level just as much as the weapons we fight daily - AR/SR/LR/MD/FG/PLC all of these at level 5 will kill you as quick as you blink so we need to accept it as part of the game , I'm all for greater detection when a nade comes your way but it's a damage nerf you are after just quit moaning as you'll only find a new problem once grenades are gone

I think that you should only be aloud 2 grenades, and you can't get more from hives. You have to go back to the supply depot to get more of them. Also you shouldn't be allowed to cook them.
