I only get around 80 shields and 149 armor so if I get hit it doesnt matter what from...I die pretty quick. As much as people seem to tank in this the kill times are so quick regardless it doesnt seem to matter how much armor you run. My medium suit character dies as quickly as my speed tanked scout.
Dedicated scout. Because the suit is underpowered. Imagine the good ones when we get buffed people ;)

Armor can get... 3 time the HP from one module then what shield can.
That's the reason.
I don't find armor overtly strong.
But, if CCP ever pulls it together and kills dual tanking, then yeah.
Shield would need a buff then.
But since I can do both on my Caldari Suit, it isn't an issue currently
Refunding a few AUR militia Blueprints pertaining to vehicles because their respective modules will not exist anymore

Calm down talking about the OP now . I would say you armor tank to lone wolf and shield tank for team play . You are more able to survive by armor tanking so you can lone wolf than you do when you shield tank hence you need help .
Like I keep saying because it's the same with vehicles , when you shield tank you have your strength face forward and that's the point . You don't have room for damage mods most of the time making your weapon weaker and making you a bigger target . Most people try to eliminate the shield tankers before they even touch a armor tanker , just like vehicles people lick their chops when they see a shield tanker coming . Yes you have regeneration but you do have a delay and that delay gives you just enough time to run , if your lucky but for a armor tanker your facing SHIELDS first then along with their ability to place damage mods on their person ( which increases the potency of their weapon ) which gives them an advantage over a shield tanker . I wouldn't believe that an armor tanker would be caught without at least one repairer even if its a basic .
They don't have to withdraw as fast because they have that extra armor and the extra equipment ( damage mods ) that helps them sand their ground firmer than some one who has their strength face forward and has that strength knocked out because of that . Yes they can come back , but what if your opponent doesn't afford you that option ???? Their strength is your weakness and it's not vise versa . That's why you see so many armor tank on their suits and in their tanks as well . They have that extra added cushion that affords them some room for error .
I believe that the shield extenders should be 33, 66, 99 and that would help more . Kill that 22 because that isn't even noticeable and the 33 is a slap in the face with the added computer and programming usage . It isn't even close . Too much taxation for less of a boost and limited usage thinking about other additions needed to complete a formable fit .

How about every suit ( including Heavies ) have an equipment slot or two and in the case of Logi's give them an extra slot so that the damage mods can be placed in the equipment slot . In all actuality ( being a modifier ) it is equipment . If that's a bad ideal I can take and except that .

Armor tank is so more powerful tahn shields that Lone wolfing OR in a team everyone is Armor/Dual tanking. I havnt seen a SINGLE Dropsuit with less than 200-300 Armor that is not MLT or a socut, in MONTHS...

Part of the dynamic in eve that balances out armor having higher values is that it shares the same fitting space as damage mods do. This allows one to TANK or GANK but not both at the same time. Given shields at the level they are at, moving damage mods to lows I think would be appropriate.

Nope if i loose mobility then i want more firepower as a option instead. And im not taking kin cats just to run on the same lvl like a caldari assault while he deals more damage. And besides did any 1 tried to ue a massdriver against armor? i bet you didnt cause its the most effective weapon to use against gallente-amarr suits. Dont believe me? go ahead and tell me if a gallente assault can survive more then 4 shots from a freedom massdriver.
And at no point in dust where damage mods low slot modules. Trough the beta it was allways a highslot module and thats it. It stays where it is cause its "established" by CCP.

I can't remember.. did I say dust or eve? I think all you read was move dmg mods to lowslots and then you diarrhea'd out of your mouth. Of course speed mods should be mid-slot items.

Yes lets nerf this and buff this. Lets give the armor a big hit and buff shields. This is smart. You can be a CCP member :D This is the reason why these isnt any balance. The nerf bat comes out and then a buff happens making the buff option OP.
Armor is meant to give your MORE hp then shields at the COST of low reps. With the old plates ON ANYTHING you put plates on you would move at heavy speed! Is that ok? No way! Your -8% for complex plates is alot. Stack that on x3. 24% movemnt I'm losing. When you want your shields buffed. Your nuts. Im a heavy and I run at your AR or ScR suits speed. This wont effect me any but to the other players who use these plates they will be hit really hard.
If you dont like the armor builds go get a MD and learn how to use it so we can call Dust 514 explosive 514.
Good thing Dust514 is free. I would have returned it along time ago.

Teamplay>lonewolfing and thats it. complex plates give 160 hp, just so you know btw shield regen doesn't matter as shields go down instantly, and have a nice 3.7 sec recharge delay. cant wait to pwn armor with my rail rifle on my cal assault
Hmm no a complex plate gives 135 HP wich is buffed to 148 by the time you can use them. And if Armor or shield goes down faster depends on the Weapon (shield/armor):
