just wondering. i know alot of us have been talking about this, but i want to get it all in one thread. if 1.7 sucks, and they stick with this Vehicle Respec only bullshit, then how many people will say, "enough is enough?"
after extensive reading of the thread about the Vehicle Respecs in the Announcements and Events, i've come to the conclusion that not only does infantry want a full respec, but vehicle users do as well. with so much of the community wanting a full respec, how could they still not give one? they can even make us pay for it. i don't care. i just want ONE last respec in 1.7.
Tell me, how exactly DOES a biscuit gain Valor?

That said, I still feel like they shouldn't give out respecs because they stated they gave out the 'last one' the last time, and it would look bad on CCP for them to break their word on that.

that's the thing. what does CCP have to lose at this point? if they were worried about their reputation, then the history of DUST would be very different than what it is now.

I'm skilling only into basic modules, dropsuits, weapons, and tanks...in the hopes that when CCP make this game what it was meant to be, I will have enough free SP and such that I can do what I want.

They have the entire part of the playerbase that says, "No more respecs because people will just use it to hop on the next FOTM!"
That's a large amount of players.

i highly doubt that they are going to quit, because they still get a respec as well, so they can skill into whatever they please.
most of the people who say that are already skilled into something they are happy with and think that since they have what they want, then no more respecs should come. to be honest, they need to SHUT THE HELL UP. they are so damn annoying, and are ruining the game for everyone but themselves.

So far I'm having fun playing the game so don't have a reason to quit, a respec in 1.7 makes no sense anyways might as well stop playing now.
And respec won't shut anyone up a respec in 1.7 just because a couple of New weapons are released will just sA to people a respec is required every time New content comes out.

Why would we get a respec in 1.7? Even if we were playing with the idea of a respec would it not be logical to wait till all the current roles/weapons have their variations out?
I can see people whining for another respect once they finish fleshing out the other weapons/suits so having one in 1.7 seems a little short sighted does it not?

How about ccp lets you keep the skills you picked, gives you a nice amount of sp for just having an account and gives you nore for playing so you can get new skills

That's the thing. A good number of people researched and planned and specced into what they knew they want. All they'd get out of a respec is having to re-apply their points in the same places. They don't GET ANYTHING. THAT is the problem. It's CCP giving those that screwed their respective pooches a free ride, while those that didn't get to eat biomass. If they offered a choice, or gave respecs AND some candy (free booster, some AURUM, maybe a free half a grand of SP) then the anti-respeccers would be ok with it.

Nope, you're keeping Flaylock Operations lvl 5, Caldari Logistics lvl 5, and Caldari Logistics LAV skills like it or not

I'm already "taking a break".
My character hibernates and I remember it two or three months later, use the SP, play for a week or two, and it repeats.

NO ITS NOT THE PROBLEM. The problem is :
1-those players are selfish and do not thing of the wellbeing of the game,only of themselves
2-Players who are afraid of 15+ Mil players getting Perfect loadouts same as theirs. scared to play on the same level.
THATS ALL.
You know some players like myself researched (in the case of scouts) SPent a good amount of SP in different stuff only to get all of it NERFED to the ground to the level of unusable unless you are crazy skilled....
I am not crazy skilled. And i want a respec. |

Actually no i didnt. EVEN LESS since i originally specced in to SCRs And Scouts with SG and nova knives.
If i knew stuff would change so DRASTICALLY so FREQUENTLY i would have just spent SP in passive skills and use my BPOs.
Not everybody is a closed beta player that knew stuff would change so randomly.... |

Eh, when it's all said and done, i'll have 12 mill given back to me. But that 12 mill was enough to fully Max out armor and shield with all proto turrets. Hopefully that 12 mill can get me somewhat fully maxed armor skills and at least one proto turret. I don't know if i'll like it, but i'm going to do the same thing I did at the beginning of this build, and that's fully spec into armor tanks and hope for the best. I CAN MAKE IT WORK, I WILL MAKE THOSE 3 LOW SLOTS PUT FEAR INTO ALL YOU GUYS ON THE GROUND.

no one is asking to keep giving respecs. we are just asking for one more. i didn't ask for a respec in any patch except for this one.
when you say i made my decision knowing things will change:
i didn't know they would break the nova knives, which were one of the reasons i got into this game. how is this my fault?
i didn't know that they would break the scouts, and then instead of doing what all scouts are asking for, a SIMPLE increase in pg/cpu they would give us a 6 meter passive scan bonus. how is this my fault?
even though i've played this game since late november, i didn't learn how important core skills were until it was too late.
i've actually spent a very large amount of money on this game. much more than it deserves, every time convincing myself that i am at the very least, helping to put food on another human being's table. at this point, there is nothing stopping people like me, who have spent tons of money on this game, from leaving, and then how will CCP get their money? from the actual free to play players?

And I flip on my active module making me invincible for 1min and kill you. And the rest of the map killing your team mates and hiding behind corners until my active mod is back, I can do it all day buddy.

i have caldari logi to 1 for uplinks.
i dont even own a LLAV.
i have EVERY sidearm to 5 with at least proficiency 3, so the flaylock is inevitably included in that.

I feel for you, I really do. CCP has done a pretty pisspoorjob with the new player experience. First of all, thank you for being protostomped into the ground for long enough to actually spec into something, and still sticking with it afterwards. Most of us beta vets got the chance to play around with, at least similar loadouts to what we have now, before committing. Hell, even a few times for some of us. New players have not had this opportunity, and this is the only reason I can agree to a respec.
However, I don't feel 1.7 is the place. Something needs to happen with the academy, extend it to 2m sp and offer a respec upon completion. After that is done, if and when, we get all the suit frames we are currently missing a respec may be warranted |
