azzkikr 619 the third day Public Disorder. 3	Posted - 2013.11.21 13:28:00 - [1] - Quote So I was in a domination match with a few of my corp mates on the bridge map, and thru out the whole match we held the objective without much resistance. But the opposing team had a thale sniper up in the hills head glitching who kept killing my blueberries So as a logi responsible for my teams well being, I dropped an OB on him. After the match was over he sent me a hate mail telling me how much of a p*y I was. Lol my whole squad laughed. ARed line sniper called me a *** lol To all you snipers, I can out snipe you with a basic , I don't even have to red line, one shot and most of you panic, I just choose not to. I want to help my team win. You can bring up your KD all u want but the red line is your KD , if it weren't for it , you'd go negative every match. That being said if you counter snipe or snipe inside the combat zone than my props to you for not being a coward. But like I always say, you could have the best sniper in the world on your team, but you will still be a man short.

That said, I've seen plenty of very effective snipers, especially on Domination maps as they can do an amazing job at locking down the area around the point, and when using comms they can more or less be your eyes, giving a squad a wider picture of events going on.

I'll tell you a little story, A few builds ago in the old manus peak map I had one of those blueberry teams who just couldn't keep the objectives held on their own. So I grab my thale and climb the mountain. 80 kills later we clone the other team and we win. Quick, no, hard... I got all your scopes here ... and for a limited time only you can receive the 360 edition!

Firstly, your name is too damn long :3 Secondly, his bit on snipers in general was tangential at best, the main point of the thread was the poor sportsmanship of the cheating Thales Sniper. He was literally unkillable, but got killed, so he lashed out. Which is hilarious. Thirdly, you're gonna get a forum ban if you keep dodging the curse filter. Use a wider vocabulary. Finally, his whole SQUAD was 'smashed' by an unkillable player. Not unkillable due to any skill, but literally unkillable due to issues with the game and the player's abuse of such. That player deserves no defense, and certainly not anyone else's attempts at such... although you seem to have made him, and all other snipers, look worse with you badposting... so I suppose that's a win for the OP? If I am in an easy to spot place, I call it a high risk high reward location. I never got a thale, but would never use it in one of those locations. Recently there has been a lot of assault/logistics/heavies skill into sniper rifles just to use the thale. These are not snipers, and give us real one's a bad name. I am glad that this no skill hack got an orbital dropped on him. With a Thale being so rare, it should always be used at max range, we're you don't render to anyone. When I look down my scope, all I see are dead people.

That was a punk move , like a lot of punks that play this game . I've been OB before while lobbing shells from a standard immobile rail turret . I was at a null cannon head shooting people who were attempting to take that cannon ( alone might I add ) and this person came and seen that they couldn't kill or move me , so they went to get five other troops and came back , still couldn't move me so they OB me . In both cases that is and was WEAK . Wasting an OB on one person ... unless there in a tank and there just incredible hulking the battlefield , is WEAK . Six on one and still OB-ing the one is WEAK !!!!!! OB-ing a person in a standard militia immobile rail turret is WEAK ... I killed him he respawned in the same place but I assumed he wouldn't so I only noticed when he got another thales kill so I killed him again and watched in amazement as he respawned a third time to die again. After the match I got all kinds of hatemail including a demand for 50mil, various threats when I said no and amusingly a mail declaring me a scrub who needed a thales crutch. I only use mine when I am really bored or if the enemy team has a load of snipers but it was just hilarious that he was using a thales and moaned about me killing him with one especially seeing as he was sitting on the MCC all game. After he rage quit I switched back to my BPO shotgun scout fit lol went from practically unkillable to mobile suicide and still found it more fun than sniping I just don't have the patience. So I run up this hill and I look frantically for the sniper, right in front of me is the Thale sniper sitting in a Proto Cal Logi suit and I am foaming at the mouth for I have to kill him. So I take off and I get two well aim shots and he dies. I run out of the red line with less than a second, but the down side as I left the red line I saw another sniper that was with the Thale flee deeper into the red line. Cant get them all. I always feel deeply complemented when the other team hits me with an orbital. It saves the lives of a bunch of team members and verifies that I'm doing my job well. Sending trashy e-mails is very unsportsmanlike but as you may know, trashy e-mails fill snipers' in boxes daily. Far more than the CQC guys. Again, when I get one I feel deeply complemented. I save the good ones. Counter-sniping with a basic sniper rifle is a challenge and I'm glad you can do it well. But you can't bring down a proto fatty stacked with armor mods with one. What about running targets? Good sniping is more about taking out hard to kill infantry, breaking momentum, hacking, reporting enemy movements and covering objectives than it is about counter-sniping. Unfortunately the red line is a fact. I happen to think that the whole field should be open for play. It would make matches end much faster once a team started to lose badly, though. Do I use the redline? When it is necessary. Do I move outside the redline? I spend most of every game outside the redline. You get more kills that way and it is the best way to avoid counter-snipers. ARed line sniper called me a *** lol To all you snipers, I can out snipe you with a basic , I don't even have to red line, one shot and most of you panic, I just choose not to. I want to help my team win. You can bring up your KD all u want but the red line is your KD , if it weren't for it , you'd go negative every match. That being said if you counter snipe or snipe inside the combat zone than my props to you for not being a coward. But like I always say, you could have the best sniper in the world on your team, but you will still be a man short. I'm a dedicated sniper. I always feel deeply complemented when the other team hits me with an orbital. It saves the lives of a bunch of team members and verifies that I'm doing my job well. Sending trashy e-mails is very unsportsmanlike but as you may know, trashy e-mails fill snipers' in boxes daily. Far more than the CQC guys. Again, when I get one I feel deeply complemented. I save the good ones. Counter-sniping with a basic sniper rifle is a challenge and I'm glad you can do it well. But you can't bring down a proto fatty stacked with armor mods with one. What about running targets? Good sniping is more about taking out hard to kill infantry, breaking momentum, hacking, reporting enemy movements and covering objectives than it is about counter-sniping. Unfortunately the red line is a fact. I happen to think that the whole field should be open for play. It would make matches end much faster once a team started to lose badly, though. Do I use the redline? When it is necessary. Do I move outside the redline? I spend most of every game outside the redline. You get more kills that way and it is the best way to avoid counter-snipers. You are laughing a sniper that basically forced you to waste an orbital on one person? Not only that you just said he kept killing your team, pretty sure that's what he is supposed to be doing. I laugh when it resorts to that, means they have done their job pissing off the enemy team. I can tell you never used a Thales, he is far back for a reason. Good luck trying to kill a well equipped sniper with a basic sniper rifle by yourself, a skilled one will simply move after the first hit and attack from a different angle and be back at full health. A good sniper never makes the team a man short, he makes the other team hide in fear. I've topped the leader-boards while sniping plenty of times if I'm not just calling out positions. You may think they are useless but come across a skilled one and tell them they aren't in the fight as they slaughter your team. For the Principality of Zeon!

I admit that there r a few good snipers out there but most don't care about whether their team wins or loses , they just want to kill and increase their KD

If that was the case in the match you're talking about, then he was doing his job. Don't blame a person who likes to snipe for doing his job.

The match timer is counting down. Save your OB in case the team suddenly gets inspired and reverse their massive losses? For me, I'd think you'd deal with a threat with whatever is at your disposal. I guess its not like people bring tanks to gun fights
