I remember that post, and posts like that are reasons I do have respect for you, both as a player and a forum warrior.

I understand new eden and I get that backstabbing and political intrigue are part of the game, as well as greed.

but we must, for the sake of dust's growth be community builders at this stage or you and those like you will have no one to back stab and dominate.

although veal is delicious, if you don't let some calves grow up to be cows you will eventually run out of fresh meat.

entertain these thoughts while you continue to try to stamp out those 100% dedicated to community growth and then ask yourself if you are successful at this but don't take up the reigns yourself of providing a place for new players to grow, who will?

and then you will only have the few hundred like you to play this game with.

if that's what you and those like you call a win, then continue on your present course.

personally, I want this game to be great and competitive and I want the community to thrive. it's partly our responsibility to do this. theres plenty of time to be the best at dominating the game, once we have a robust community ready for that level of gameplay.

at the risk of sounding dramatic, right now, mercs like you are killing this game far more than the devs ever could.

EVERYTHING

The issue of proto stomping is toughy. I grinded hard to get my gear and enjoy it - but I understand the destruction to others enjoyments it bring. As such - since Open Beta first dropped, I have never used a proto suit in pubs. I also jump into pub squads for those single games and help guide and teach and inspire people to push forward to enjoy the game as I have.

But this is a bumpy road to do - it's not something the community can see. All they notice is when I group with friends who are all vets like me - we destroy all. But I keep those squads just for FW for the Amarr side - especially since they're struggling so hard currently. (sometimes ambush since most my friends favor the quick games :( )

And then there's my personal issue with the HMG - I've tried to become a legend with it - but the stats won't allow it. So I've jumped from HMG to the only Amarr weapon *I'm an amarr loyalist* I knew of that's any good - ScR. And it's given me a bad outlook of FOTM, rather then me just breaking free of a poorly designed gun. I still think AR is a better weapon, but that's not important.

But even that is a poor excuse for myself since I run around in an LLAV - but you have to remember, 80% of my games I am solo - by myself - struggling. LLAV was my counter to my suits weaknesses *heavy*. Often times if there's no squad on the other side I'll just drive around just trying to run people over - never getting out. But even then I get hatemail.

I'm in a lose - lose situation in the communities eyes.

But despite all that - It's my deepest wish to help this game. I had 400mil ISK at one point a month ago - I've given away nearly 300mil ISK to pubs and players low in ISK for free. I am now down to nearly 200mil even with me PCing constantly and raking in 10mil a game contracts.

Honestly - this is just a rant in my defense - I have no real defense for my actions in game. I can only hope people who read my posts come to understand I am not a bad guy - want to help - will help anyone, even if I hate you. This games success and growth means more then petty disputes. But I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place.

If I could bow down infront of everyone and apologize, I would, and I would hope CCP would be behind me when I do so I could secretly throw them the middle fingers - because it's there bad mechanics forcing me to play the way I do.
