This is a call for all mercs tired of every pubgame being ruined by a group of the same people using proto gear to crush their enemies and make the game a complete waste of time, stop sacrificing your hard earned ISK so the elite can use you to pad your stats ! We need a gamemode that is fun FOR ALL not just the elite and whether you are on the team doing the protostomping or against the team doing the protostomping we can all agree the game is just as boring for those in the redline as it is for the non proto guys stood on the otherside of the redline ! If you want to play the game on Wednesdays join a squad and play FW but if you want this problem addressing please join me in sitting in the MCC spinning around in circles in every pubgame. Not playing the game would obviously be a better idea however it is difficult to track and if every pub game sees 26 ppl sat in the MCC and 6 guys in proto running around wondering where everyone else is we will know who's against it and who isn't. I often see people saying the player base isn;t big enough to seperate players however the reason why the player base isn;t big enough to do real matchmaking is because a huge proportion of new and intermediate plays simply quit the game after being crushed for the umpteenth time .. something has to give and simply put this game will not survive on its current course ! These 2 quotes perfectly sum up the issues DUST faces right now GÇ£The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.GÇ¥ GÇ£When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. Do not press a desperate foe too hard.GÇ¥ Sun Tzu , Art of War TL;DR The protostompers are basically crushing their opponents so badly that they simply up and walk out of the game and give up .. making your enemies lose the will to fight is a great tactic in real war but on a game it's a serious problem, the protostompers aren't simply trying to win they are trying to destroy everyone elses spirit and in most cases they don't even see the harm that they are doing. Maybe it's ignorance maybe that's their intention either way it has to stop and CCP are the only ones who can stop it .. the protostompers wont stop it and therefore we need to stand up and force CCP to address the issue !

Matchmaking should be based both on gear and team organization (you are in squad, you should go against other squads), protostomping it's obviously a problem, but are you sure that something would change if an organized team decide to play with STD suits and weapons? You'll call it teamstomping instead of protostomping. But if a team of random have to play with 2 or more organized squad i agree with you, let them play alone. It had little do with it before, it has even less to do with it now. TTK is so fast, that what suit you're wearing is irrelevant. If you have to blame your suit on your death, it's just your refusal to admit you're a bad player. The game balance comes down to organization. Yes, matches are heavily imbalanced. No, it has nothing to do with proto suits. Most "protostompers" are actually running full organized squads. And they have Planetary Conquest experience. Experience they're more than happy to use on the unwashed masses in pub matches. The fact that they have proto (largely just because they can afford it, from PC income), has little to do with their success. If you want a way to sort players, it needs to be granting solo players a playground where squads aren't allowed. So that individuals can play on even turf. New players can start there to learn the feel of the mechanics and the gameplay, explore the maps, etc. Then they can hit up the squad finder to take it to the next step, having already learned the basics.
