Lol yea I just saw em roll. Yep I know what it is. Love drum and bass. Love the hardcore drum and bass but I'm going to see if they have a VIP version for that Christina track. I play around with my numark at home as a hobby. DNB goes great with Dust. But anyways...o7 nice run there logi!! That was some incredible work out there.

It was more along the lines of "be less careful and take more damage so that I can reap more rewards" instead of me running around healing the players that are being stupid and standing out in the open taking damage. We were also going against some tough players. Our squad alone got the top 6 slots on the board at the end of the match for almost 20k wp total. The rest of our team was doing bad yes, but I was mainly repping players from our own squad. That guy who had 3500 wp was the forge heavy. Links: List of Important Topics I make logistics videos!

I made that guy invincible...that has to be worth something right? You have a point about me not exactly doing a lot to get this, but there was still a lot going on in that match. I didn't record squad comms but if you were to hear them it was a constant communication check between both of us about what our status was, where the enemies were, what we were doing, if he needed reps/ammo, etc. The hardest job for me was making sure everyone had ammo and was at full armor. You don't even know how difficult it is to see allied health bars, especially when using the repair tool. The short range on the thing makes things even more difficult because I have to stay within 11 meters of him in order for the lock to stay on. Trying to lock onto him when he's in combat is almost as hard as trying to kill a scout that's jumping in your face. That in itself was hard enough to do, and much more difficult than just shooting at other people with an automatic sniper rifle (aka the AR). Besides, the repair tool has already had a buff way back in chromosome where they increased the reward for triage bonuses and gave us guardian bonuses as well. Now that they removed the cap, they should probably debuff the repair tool and bring the triage bonuses back to 15. I can absolutely agree that 7000 wp for using a repair tool is kind of ridiculous. Finally, I played 5 rounds with these guys. The average wp gain using this method was about 3500-4000. This match was a rare occurence and brings diversity into the game. I used tactics and strategy to play instead of running the best equipment and shooting people. Not to mention that maybe this is what the game needs in order for change to happen. Currently the number of players using ARs is rising, and everyone just seems to be using the same loadout/suits/weapons. By having something like this possible, it makes the other less popular items and playstyles actually viable...and therefore more players will use it. Don't have video, but still have a screenshot (where I got my previous record of 4382 before the 1.6 buff) The idea is that instead of me running behind him with an AR of my own, I ran scrambler and played full-on support role to show what the logistics class is capable of (i.e. not just stacking damage mods with a duvolle playing assault like every other fake logi out there). Not saying that logi is supposed to be support, but that Logistics is about versatility. They managed to hold it while being flanked, surrounded and spammed with nades. Question to CCP will you evaluate this vid to improve the game mechanics? Because there you can see following... - glitches in changing weapons (weapon mix); - logistic issues - rep tool range and lock during combat situations; - not displayed Team health bars; - sometimes its impossible to counter snipers coz they are hidding behind a texture - you hit them with no effect - that's wrong; - will at least Squad Leader have an counter for total OB strikes that he has on Squad disposall? - I believe that hey havent used all OBs that they managed to award for themselves'

The heavy on the other hand has to risk a lot, yet still has a low wp potential (only able to earn kills and kill assists) similar to a sniper. However, a good squad leader who backs up their squad overlooking the area they're defending, putting up defend orders, giving good communication, and pushing the enemy back...that's how the sniper roll should be played best. No, sorry, I played with a Logi vk.1 back on chromosome and aside from the unnecessarily high speed and maneuverability, the rep tools never needed a buff as the HP/s rep was fine and the WP gained from it too since I was doing other logi stuff. This buff to rep tools together with the addition of core focused in Uprising is plain stupid and should've never happened. Yet you actually wrote to post in my quote as if it were somewhat ok to gain 7000 WP in a match. This preposterous WP gain leaves so much room for exploit and PRO Rep tools as it is now gives God Mode to infantry, this isn't balance. That is a lot of support for one guy. If I remember correctly we dominated the match from the beginning well until his squad started to rain hell on us by 8 orbitals, that and the support on the frontline enabled his team to hold A long enough that they nearly were able to win the match. In fact it was pure luck that we were able to clone them out. Regarding the risk vs reward thing although he was slightly behind the direct frontline he puts himself in danger of incoming fire. If thats enough to justify the possible WP income is another story. But I have to say well played :)

My point is that, in a well balanced game, there's no way a logi could alone earn 3 orbitals to his team by dropping nanos/uplinks and shamelessly farming WP by repping one guy. The reward for repping alone is insanely high. Combine that with injectors, uplinks and nanos, and you get an ultimate WP farming machine. That's broken game mechanics and it will be abused even more in the future.

DUST514 should never be just about killing. Whoever did what this guy did, deserves the 7k. The repair tools are just where they need to be. Maybe slightly put a cap on wp earned per minute. CCP should reintroduce the bars also for those that wish to see them. If you see logis making people immortal, deal with them. I am glad that i see that more and more tactics are rising every day. Tanking mercs should defo be an option and will add a whole another dimension to the game. Just wait for the resistance modules :DDD Logis should always be able to earn more WP than people who shoot. It is way more difficult to play such a game than shooting around.

No, sorry, I played with a Logi vk.1 back on chromosome and aside from the unnecessarily high speed and maneuverability, the rep tools never needed a buff as the HP/s rep was fine and the WP gained from it too since I was doing other logi stuff. This buff to rep tools together with the addition of core focused in Uprising is plain stupid and should've never happened. Yet you actually wrote to post in my quote as if it were somewhat ok to gain 7000 WP in a match. This preposterous WP gain leaves so much room for exploit and PRO Rep tools as it is now gives God Mode to infantry, this isn't balance. Well first of all, the Proto repair tools do not give out god mode, and the core focused cannot heal faster than one can punch bullets in...and you have to work hard at keeping within 10 meters of that ally just to make them have that kind of repair. Second, did you even read my post? I stated specifically that I didn't even know they had removed the cap before this match (This was the very first match I played that night), and that if it's possible to gain this much wp this easily now, the wp bonus should be reduced back to what it was in the closed beta (i.e. 15 wp per triage) Third, this is by no means a form of exploit. I am not using the repair tool in a way that is unintended in order to gain bonuses for myself in an unfair way. Getting 7k wp in a match was a RARE thing as the next 4 matches I played only scored me an average of 3500 wp per match using this method (which is something I do on a regular basis anyways). I did not plan for this to happen, I did not try to earn wp. I simply played the game and helped my team like I normally did back in chromosome. Fourth, I AGREE with you that there is something wrong with 7k wp in a match, BUT you need to remember that players hardly ever use repair tools anymore because of the effectiveness of other things like scanners. Give it some time, and if there are more incidents of players gaining massive amounts of wp like this we can alert CCP to do something. _____________________________________ As of right now, it takes a lot of teamwork, cooperation, communication, dedication, and skill points to be able to do something like what I did in my video. This was not achieved easily. -There was constant communication in squad chat -He let me know when he needed ammo, reps, cover, etc. -I let him know where the enemies are, my status, if we needed to retreat or push, etc. -Our entire squad was covering our back -We had a dedicated heavy/forge to take out any vehicle threats if they arrised -This was a PERFECT SCENARIO (i.e. bridge map, high concentration of players, lots of incoming fire, lots of wp potential in one small area) -I was constantly being shot at and had to keep my eye out for cover to stay in, enemies sneaking up behind us, making sure I wasn't dying, all while constantly flipping around to look at allies health bars and taking out my scanner every once in a while. -I was risking a 150k suit that was focused on repair and support, with hardly any means of defending myself. WELL NO ***. It's not like that game was a walk in the park or something. Sure if you have the right ingredients you can earn a high amount of wp, but that one match had all of the perfect components in it for it to happen.
