Been only running in dragonfly assault suit and toxin AR so all standard gear and not getting destroyed in the TTK department. Still enough time to react. but i don't use MD's so i can not really comment.

What i was getting at is my BPO suits run about 550 ehp, I get shot by AR's same as everyone else and unless in the back by a shorty, dieting in under a second does not really happen . edit- dieting, hmm...

Deaths were great in numbers if you just monitored the killboards for every player. I was getting shot up as if the projectiles had no respect for all my hard work to get my shield and armor up. It was just ridiculous to the point where I knew I had to get the drop first and maintain my aim. Any deviation or pause in gunfire resulted in death for my clone.

Beyond that, there is nothing else I can advise you on except just keep practicing. I have been practicing using nova knives (just the knives) for far longer than a year and my training is still not over yet. CCP, please fix the Nova Knives. Thank you.

You are not supposed to be able to compete against slayers with a Mass Driver. You are supposed to farm Assist WP and Equipment WP.

My problem (Yes, I know you don't care ;) is that I now will have to brick tank to make my fit more survivable. I can cut people down all I want, but that means nothing if I am cut down just as fast. And to think I switched from brick-tanking to a faster, lighter fit with more mobility. Lol :D

Cenax has been a long time dust gamer and and good player in the community.

Sure, everyone dies equally as fast these days, but what I want is prolonged engagements. Some of the people on the forums suggested taking away that 10% damage buff we got in uprising 1.1. That would be a good start. This is a nerf to ALL weapons. Not just any specific weapon. Right now this feels far too much like a twitch shooter, and much less like a MMO. Its supposed to be a combination, and I don't think the balance between the two is equal right now. In short...... something really should be done about the gameplay. I mean.... its not terrible. The point he is proving is you aren't supposed to win a straight up 1v1 fight with a mass driver vs AR or ScR. A mass driver is an area denial weapon, not a slayer weapon. TTK is increased because it can be used on multiple targets at once (splash dmg). Just think about the actual point of your weapon...mass drivers are equally effective against multiple targets whereas an assault rifle can only focus dmg on 1 target at a time. You do have a point that it shouldn't be happening at 75m+. Dispersion is off IMO w/ AR ADS. Also, are you a minmatar? And if you are, do you shield tank(if not you should spec into a dif race)? If so, the AR will beat you to pieces due to its proficiency at eating shields; speed up with kin cats. Speed + shield tank or run shield regs. I recommend adjusting play style (yes I know you are good, but just my 2 cents) to let ARs burn shields then smash the armor to pieces. Get a height advantage. Think outside the box.
