first off it is not a player fault for using the gear he earned.

second if their is an issue it is the responsibility of the developers to deal with it.

third and most importantly gear is the least of the reason new players lose to vets, more often then not blaming gear is just the crutch, so get off the forums and stop bitching about it.

First off you didn't read my entire post because I addressed the whole its their gear they can do what they want argument AND the it's CCP fault only argument so go back and READ the post before using your weak assed arguments

how can you expect people to wait months to get their proto gear and not use it.

They can use it in PC and FW ... seeing as both of those things are more than just mess around games .. LP is going to be introduced for FW soon TM and PC you're fighting over land .. my issue isn;t with the use of proto full stop its the use of proto in mess around games

It's the academy and match makings fault. Keep people in academy longer or make matchmaking actually put people against you with similar SP totals or something.

-I don't mind you doing it v us, you lose a hell of a lot of ISK when you come up against us in ADV gear but when it comes to people new out of the academy being steamrolled by 6 people in full proto in top tier vehicles with proto mods its overkill

-Yes congratulations you can kill kittens using a sledgehammer but enough is enough, try using ADV once in a while or go do your protoscrubbing in FW/PC v other people using proto .. it begs the question .. is the only reason you can get kills because your in proto v new players and when you're up against people at your level you get decimated ?

-Yes yes it's their gear, their ISK they can do what they want but if that means sacrificing 10,000 potential players just so they can have a few minutes redlining the opposition is it really worth it ?

-CCP if you are so intent on bug fixes etc over adding new content then do something about the protostomping in pubgames it's out of hand and is seriously damaging your game, every single review i've looked at of this game says the same thing ... it's about as attractive a game to play for a new player as it is to slam your head with a car door .. Yes I know someone will say HTFU New Eden is tough ... but this kind of tough is the equivalent of putting a new born baby in a forest in alaska and leaving it there to survive saying HTFU ...

TL;DR If enough people put down their protogear in pubgames and point and laugh at those that don't then maybe one day Pubgames will be fun for all and not just another medium for the guys with sucky lives to feel important

you mentioned the fact that it's their gear but I do disagree with what you said, first off to take your sarcastic comment literally you are accusing WTF of being the sole users of proto gear resulting in 10000 people quitting of which you have no evidence and If I don't take your sarcastic comment literally then how can I base any honest debate on it.

second a large majority of the game uses proto gear in pub matches, and more often then not it's required to win games as players on the opposite side will be doing the same.

you cannot blame players for playing the game as it is intended you need to blame the developers for not addressing it sooner.

players can and should be able to use what ever they feel like as this game is a sandbox style shooter where you build the fits and spend the isk to use them. there is no point in proto gear existing if we cannot use it, and the number of PC matches is minor for some, and FW is nothing more then fancy pub matches

WTF were a MAG clan and were kinda trashy, their only "good" players were quick and lagged quite a bit.

If I played them back when I was actually really good at the game, they would have gotten smashed.
Especially VS my clan which was after MAG died down but had 3C, R*S and random beasty members in it...

So it pisses me off every time I see them in DUST, if they didn't have their gear they would get walked on.
That's not saying I find them impossible to deal with. Just that on a level playing field it would be a different story.
