I wouldn't say assault rifles are OP, but they seriously need a range nerf. I constantly get my health melted away by just a few bullets from 50+ meters away. I actually just died extremely fast from 69m away from a duvolle....while the guy had to shoot through a crack to kill me. While I am using the laser rifle I constantly find my self shooting at AR users from range and them MATCHING my range/damage output... ARs are not OP but they have some ridiculous range if you can take out 400+ hp in a split second from more than 60m.

This is all just my opinion though, curious to see what you guys think.

69m away is not a bad spot for an AR to kill you with. Why do you guys continually bring up minimal range as if the AR is shooting you from the stratosphere?

The range is already low enough as it is, damn it. Just buff all the other appropriate weapons ranges instead.

For your info the Aim Assist came recently, but for months, the likes of your kind still whined because they thought a Battlefield/COD rush and shoot tactic was worth the cut.

All I want to know is why does the Duvolle TAR have a better range then the ScR. This dev blog clearly states that laser weaponry (the Scrambler Rifle) should have a better range then plasma weaponry (the Assault Rifle).

AR now is probably a placeholder, but anyway the real thing the AR needs is recoil, kind of battlefield recoil, because the range is not the problem, the problem is extremely high accuracy of the AR at very long range at full auto, i can keep firing my 60 bullet clip to a target at 70 meters and i will miss 1/3 of the clip, instead of firing by burst at long range to keep on your target, but full auto at medium range or close range, its a very low skill high reward weapon, its not broken OP BUT it does have an advantage to other weapons, also hip-fire is very accurate , it has high damage high rate of fire, high clip size, long range and extreme accuracy, it needs a challenge for players, something to master, right now its very easy to use it, and also the range of the STD AR makes the tactical kind of outclassed, the tactical is supposed to be the high accuracy one

I dont think the Ar needs a nerf, but I do think the HMG should have better range than it. Because its a machinegun after all. Meant to suppress infantry and all...

I put down my MD and picked up the AR this week, slowly investing my future combat rifle SP into it. I have a GEK-38, sharpshooter level 3 and can solo anything but a Duvolle or proto heavy with a boundless toe-to-toe. I'm killing scouts, MD users and just about anything else in my way just by hip firing. The only time I actually have to ADS is against laser users, hitting them just outside of my rendering distance. My KDR has shot up 0.11 in a day just with aim assist on and hip firing, getting 10-15 kills a match on average.
