The tournament will be completed in a single weekend. There won't be any updates in between the two days as we also don't release updates on the weekends. CCP Logibro // EVE Universe Community Team // Distributor of Nanites // Patron Saint of Logistics

Why are tournaments becoming smaller? I thought DUST was supposed to be all about Galactic Warfare on a massive scale, and now we have 6v6 pea-shooting fights? Very boring.
Why not expand the numbers of players competing in battles so it can have that large-scale War feel that according to you, at CCP, it was supposed to have. |

We'll have more tournaments in the future with higher player counts. But this is something a little different for people to have a try at. CCP Logibro // EVE Universe Community Team // Distributor of Nanites // Patron Saint of Logistics

6 winners? Only SIX? winners?
No, No! and NOOO!!!
We have DECREASING player counts. That means LESS players logging in every day.
Please, Please, PLEASE. Change the Event to:
Daily Player Event Log in Tournament: Officer Weapons for log in!!
Log in every day!! Heres what you get:
Log in for seven CONSECUTIVE days and you get seven prototype suits of your choice.
Log in for 14 consecutive days and you get 14 prototype suits of your choice and 14 prototype weapons.
Log in for 21 consecutive days and you get 21 proto suits, 21 proto weapons and 21 proto tanks.
But wait!! it gets better! log in for a consecutive month and besides all of the above you get five each of Officer Weapons .
And for those who log in for a month and an extra week??
Oh this is GREAT!!
All of the loot mentioned before plus 14 of each of Officer Weapons.
So remember keep log ing in for the best loot of 5/14 Officer Weapons.
So whats the rules again?
Just log in!!
That simple!

I wouldn't mind seeing a really massive battle...say 16x16x16x16 that's right, 4 teams, one representing each empire. or maybe go further and tackle a larger map like the old M.A.G. game did with 256 players...do it as a "Last Corp Standing", limit each player to 5 respawns, after that all you'd have to do is decide what the rewards would be for the champs, 2nd, and 3rd place....then maybe a little something for those that participate in the event. |

I think having tournaments with these different and smaller formats will give players something different, and while that will provide some challenges I see it as good thing. Wish CCP and ESL the best of luck in running this. |

Can we get the prizes for the last tournament before discussing the next one?
Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
And I have to agree that it is sad seeing the game becoming smaller and smaller. I came to Dust seduced by the idea of huge intergalactic war.
Small battles are fun and all, and it gives more corps a fair chance to compete since it is easier to gather 6 decent players than 16. But it is not what I wanted from this game. |

I don't see the big issue with having it be 6v6. It gives a chance to smaller corps who can't field a full team throughout the whole weekend to show that they may not have numbers, but they do pack a punch. I'm sure I can count at least 3 Indie corps that can show what they've got given the restrictions.
Anyways, I think this will be a great idea. Even if the rewards are only officer gear and pocket change, it will sure as hell be fun to see small groups facing off once again, just like the corp battles before pc. Hell, who knows? Maybe some underdogs will take the crown this time around. |

Smaller rosters and shorter tournament schedule accommodates smaller corps and corps suffering from burn-out. Plus the rules look much better this time around.
All in all, pretty well done this time. |

Did you play Tribes Ascend? Did you watch as they choose e-sports over what people wanted? Did you also see them violate their own EULA? Their are tons of reasons why that game sank into the mud, I watched it do so, anything that might be a document from them, I wouldn't trust at all ever. In short please leave that wound where it lays, even if you think I am entirely wrong which I might be. |

A quick question about the rules: Would a team still be able to fight even if there aren't enough of their teammates online to fill all 6 slots for the battle? It would put them at a major disadvantage against a full 6-member team but would make for some great stories if they won. |

If you are in the cup and cannot field 6 members for a match, you will still be able to play with a smaller team
Remember that you can have up to 10 people in your roster, to allow 4 alternate teammates just in case you cant field your original 6 |
