Sounds like she's trying to let you down easy to be honest. If you want to pursue her tell her that you want to be her next boyfriend and see if she'll agree to it. Treat her how you want to treat her and don't worry so much. Don't pretend to be nice or try to win her. Don't talk about her boyfriend or get bitter over things. Don't get depressed if she says no. If she agrees and goes with someone else over you, then you'll just be punishing yourself getting hung up on her.
Then again we don't really know the circumstances. |

I'll give some golden advice, so listen up: If you have a good looking friend that is a girl or know one willing to do it, have her pretend to be with you and flaunt her. Always be within eye shot/ear shot if possible and make sure she hears/see the both of you having fun.
Wait for her to call. When she does, ignore it for a day or two. Answer day three and wait for her to ask you who she was. Play it off, switch subjects and telling her you have to run out, tell her you'll call her later and hang up.
Wait a day. Call her again. Reveal more. She'll get closer and listen, mainly out of jealously (IF she really likes you). Tell her you aren't sure that girl is right for you BUT you ARE having fun with her. Tell her you feel conflicted. Wrap up the conversation.
Don't see or talk to her for a few days, preferrably a week.
She'll want to talk about your relationship more. Give a little. Reveal your feelings. Put deodorant on, a Gatorade on the end table and get ready for action.

Interestingly enough when two of my friends started dating we made a "Friendzone" Cake for my mate, celebrating him getting out of the "Friendzone".
It was hilarious to see the look on his face when he saw the abomination we made ( made without sugar, flour, and coated in some tasteless cream we ended up throwing the damn thing at a nearby 2 tonne digger) |
