I expect to be trolled and hated after this, but this is how I feel. There is nothing wrong with the shotgun. I was using a militia shotgun and was doing very well with it. Second in the right hands this D* thing is F* deadly. I have been killed by a scout that can pull of some matrix S* and then kill me in two shots with a shotgun. I had over 700HP and was dropped in two shots, tells me you want a weapon that can kill in one shot. Not going to happen, because everyone will be using shotguns. To me shotguns are fine the way they are at the moment. Hit detection is off for weapons that are not being assisted by hit assist. I use a sniper rifle and I been cheated out of a lot of kills due to poor hit detection and distance rendering. You are not invincible, stop trying to rush a player with an AR they are going to kill you, instead use stealth and sneak up on them and wipe the floor with them. I have seen and been on the receiving end of some really good scouts who do this. Also heavies put down the shotgun you look ridicules in my opinion If you cant tell who is using KB/M I will tell you. They can go left to right in a hair turn while firing with such precision it makes you want to break your controller. So to those who use KB/M on a console game and complain about how it does not work properly this is not a PC or MAC its a D* console. You already have an unfair advantage in my eyes, so please stop complaining because you cant go 50-0 in a match. I know what you are going to say, use a KB/M and HTFU right. Wrong its a D* console I am going to use a controller. If it was a PC or MAC I would use a KB/M. In my opinion there should not be an option for KB/M in dust due to it being a console game. I am purist who believes in controller, joystick, and simulated gun are the only thing to be used on a console. The move or any other vibrator looking device should not be used ever. rant over

When you pull out an AR in general you automatically for UNKNOWN reasons can kill people faster in both Long Range and CQC? (Wtf Really balance issues) 2.) You use Officer weapons in Pubs and I WILL hunt you and take that away from you. 3.) I DO NOT use KBM, only use DS3. 4.) Im faster then you. 5.) I have 20m SP on all my gear/weapons/skills.

You provably got kill by an Ex-mouse user, that is learning how to use the mouse simulator in the DS3 very quickly. It toke me about 2 hours to master the new aim-assist, and i always been a mouse user until now.

Just because Mario Kart doesn't want to provide kb/m support doesn't mean it is wrong for any device to be used on a console if the game designers want to provide it. You can use a mouse too. Thumb jockies need to stop needlessly bitching about kb/m as if that is the problem. Are you seriously asking ppl to stop using something just so you can get kills the way you want?

Who are you and I highly doubt you can take my officer weapon. I use officer weapons all the time in pubs its a weapon I am going to use it. So far I have lost only 1 balac and a few Thales. 1 balac was lost due to me testing it out, wow is all I can say. I love my Thales and I will continue to use them because they are far superior to any sniper rife and the charge rifle takes way to long to use. Proto sniper rifles should be like the Thale in my opinion. You being faster, ya I give scouts that and they should be, but there ungodly leaping ability should not be. They can jump over a full grown clone and you still do not see a problem with this. If this was the Olympics the scouts would destroy everyone in track and field do to there ungodly speed and leaping ability. Scouts need a lot of love but I do feel no suit should be able to leap 10 feet in the air, land and sprint away before you can even turn in response.

You can tell KBM does things DS3 can never do - you can turn much faster is one big advantage (and this is becuse CCP put a hard cap on rotation speed with DS3 but not with the mouse). That alone is a huge advantage in CQC. I always find myself not being able to turn fast enough to keep my target in crossharis when I run with SG in CQC and that's only because of my DS3 controller. KBM lets you do things DS3 does not. And mind you it's not because of the innate KBM superiority. It's because of how it was implemented in this given game. So it does offer an large and unfair advantage.

I use scouts in my post due to they are the ones that I see use shotguns the most that is all. I believe scouts need buff to there CPU/PG and at least a 10% buff to there HP. One thing that needs a tone down is there ability to leap over a clone but a heavy cant even jump a curb.

The reason no one cares about people who use a controller for PC FPS games is because no one minds a player gimping themselves by using a controller. So the issue is moot point. The issue on Dust is, it gives KB/M users an unfair advantage on a console game. There's a reason KB/M have had constant tweaking to its "DS3 emulator", instead of just removing all restrictions. If there was no advantage to be had, they wouldn't be attempting to emulate a controller to provide "balance". Wrong or right input for a game isn't the issue at all. There's a reason CCP is the only company that has attempted to use KB/M input on a console FPS, and has failed horribly at it. Edit - To the OP, there is a known server/client issue thats preventing the hits from shotguns to register sometimes, similar to the MD and Forge Gun problem a few months ago. It was going to be fixed in 1.5, along with nova knives, but it seems thats been pushed back to 1.6

If scouts couldn't jump like they do they'd be dead faster than they are, they wouldn't be able to escape and engage as efficiently. The fact that I jump over something an assault has to run around has saved me countless times. The fact that a fatty can't step up curb is not a scout problem. I record almost all of my matches and when I play them back I really see how many shots I'm robbed of and how buggy the sg is. The sg is much better than it ever has been but it is still the least predictable weapon.

It is a myth that just because you are using a mouse and KB you somehow become drastically better or more precise. It takes time and practice to learn how to use the mouse effectively.

Playing with a mouse in this game kinda ruins your muscle memory for mouse usage and feels a little uncomfortable, mouse really is no advantage.

And Im glad you don't remember my name, it'll cause you to relax and slip up, causing your loss in them. Oh and I can't wait to see you on the 'Nerf Scouts Thread'. P.S. For someone who "Can't remember"...you sure do remember how many people I had with me. And when I fought you, we were alone. I don't like people interfering with my duels.

If I die by a shotgun, i die no big deal I respawn and hunt them down. There are some great scouts that can really use this weapon, and hats off to them. I just feel they should not be able to leap over me and shoot me in the back before I can even turn around.

But they should fix the silenced shotgun, or am i the only one having this issue ?

It's the consistency at which it can operate effectively. Currently, about 30% of the time I can't be confident that my shots are going to hit or not, which is a big, big issue when you only have 1 attempt every half second.

Apparently it worked okay for you when you tried it..... it does that for me sometimes as well, that's when I love it. But all those other times..... I might as well be running up and blowing hot air at the back of that unsuspecting merc. It is definitely not fine as-is. All the regular shotgun users will tell you this (and most already have).

So to those who use KB/M on a console game and complain about how it does not work properly this is not a PC or MAC its a D* console. You already have an unfair advantage in my eyes, so please stop complaining because you cant go 50-0 in a match. I know what you are going to say, use a KB/M and HTFU right. Wrong its a D* console I am going to use a controller. If it was a PC or MAC I would use a KB/M. In my opinion there should not be an option for KB/M in dust due to it being a console game. I am purist who believes in controller, joystick, and simulated gun are the only thing to be used on a console. The move or any other vibrator looking device should not be used ever. rant over Alright going to stop you there and hit you with some facts: 1.) When you pull out an AR in general you automatically for UNKNOWN reasons can kill people faster in both Long Range and CQC? (Wtf Really balance issues) 2.) You use Officer weapons in Pubs and I WILL hunt you and take that away from you. 3.) I DO NOT use KBM, only use DS3. 4.) Im faster then you. 5.) I have 20m SP on all my gear/weapons/skills. i came across you before lightning. you destroyed our entire team and i could only kill you 3 times. you are a BEAST man. if you wanna sqd up later please tell me man.
