DUST Search - WTF CCP - Rewarding people who left the game and f'ing over those that stayed

Assuming you've been capping, 1.6 million active SP (or 2.4mil with booster) plus bonuses from events. A lot more valuable than those suits.

The only people who lose out are those who've played irregularly over this period, as they get neither suits nor (much) SP. But any scheme applied to thousands of people will see a few fall through the cracks. At least CCP are trying to bring people back into the game.

SP is useless to me right now. I have over 20 mil and 4 of that is unallocated. I only have a few things more I want to do with the content we have available.

I'm on over 18mil and I'm still millions away from maxing out a role (HMG/FG heavy). I don't think the situation of having more SP than you need is usual.

I would love to get 100 copies of that suit. So long as this suit is not on the market, my SP accrual for the past two months means squat.

Agreed and I do realize that this will be different for everyone. This was just for me personally. I have all the weapons I would possibly use and all of my equipment to the level that could fit on my suit. My core skills are as maxed as I need them to be. Right now I am just doing proficiencies and dampening. The only thing I can think of after that is hacking skills. I have zero interest in other suits right now or the vehicles that are currently available.

I don't understand offering them limited edition items that your loyal players can't get. The Black Eagles is an interesting item and should be for sale for Aurum. We don't even know what the stats are for the Quafe Assault. Give them a bunch of no-skill Aurum standard suits and weapons to burn through.

Quafe's are for closed beta veterans and even then these quafes are Quafe Assaults, not scouts.

The business tactic is great. Getting previous players to return is really great. Offering them items that current players can't get is the issue.

Lol we had to do an Event to get 10 of those suits, ....if you don't play the game you get 100....sounds fair... I feel like ive been dropkicked, i mean ive bought around 8 Omega Boosters, multiple regulars, actives, The 100$ Dren Assault pack .... But hey if i had done none of the above, i would get 100 cool scout suits with 2 light wep slots... Just ....yeah ...nm...

This costs the developers nothing (other than normal overhead) and is used often to try to bring player count back up. They would be wise to work from both ends of the spectrum though by giving some sort of veteran reward for those players whom log on weekly, etc. for a period of time and then increase those rewards the longer that consistency is maintained.
