No, you can sync squads and fight under the same banner.
But yeah... unfortunately my corporation doesn't support Minmatar... |

A couple of clarifying questions.
What happens if you leave a match, is it counted, or is it just dropped?
What happens if you enter a match for a second faction and then leave before it ends. Are you ok or did you just make yourself invalid for any rewards? Really curious on this one since i noobed up the contract selector and got put into a caldari game by accident.
What happens if you fight and win / lose matches for two factions. Can people achieve the rewards for two factions?
Overall interesting event. I like the factional warfare theme on this one. It got me doing FW, something I don't usually partake in. I also like the emphasis on win / loss, something that is perhaps not strongly emphasized enough right now. I just hope you guys are working on a web tracker so we can monitor event progress and avoid much of the uncertainty involved right now.
As a final suggestion, you might want to consider a tier 0 reward. If people play X factional warfare matches (like 5-10) then they get something, not as nice as the higher tier rewards, but something small that essentially everyone can get just for participating. That way even if they can't meet the win / lose conditions, or if they don't have time for a full 20 - 40 matches, they can still feel like they participated and got something out of it. |

I wholeheartedly agree.
Not only that, but everyone is acting like horny teenage groupie girls about the Amarr and everyone who needs the rewards from Minmatar have the disadvantage.
It has been very difficult to find good, organized squads to fight for the Minmatar.
Plus our blueberries are almost always n00bs. |

IMO it's pretty important to have it so that you don't get penalised for joining a match just before it ends, and so that merely AFKing doesn't result in awards. if you are afk but in battle you still get kickout

Is there a way to keep track of wins??? There is no progress bar or anything, also I cannot find a decent squad to run Galle, Cali has the win every time and they have proto corps in almost every battle I been in. The Stupid AI err Scotty AI has put me in over 10 battles that did not give me time to leave before the other faction won, not to mention being in load screen and "mission failed... tagnet shutdown" BS locking me in load screen..... System stability is pure trash running this game, I have never locked up or had a game freeze, this game does it OFTEN.....
We need to know what the rules are, like can we leave a battle and not count against us, or is there a time frame that locks you into the win/loss % and do the log in to a game that has 10 seconds to an epic loss count as a loss????
I am finding myself accepting poor layouts, rewards to protostompers and elite corps. The battlefinder garbage puts me in games where I am the ONLY person on my side and 16 enemies redline camping. |

You need to join organized squads.
And I'm not having more than the occasional harmless glitch. I do agree that after 1.4 came there was havoc for a while with glitches... but right now it's fine for me. |

I remember when I sucked so much at these events. I always spawned in as a militia frame put a few bullets in an enemy and look around if anyone going to kill him so I can at least get a damn assist. I hope one day I'll look back on that day I laugh. So far I'm trying not break my PlayStation in half and take to Tatooine where I will throw it in the pit with the Rancor and let him devour that piece of ****. |

So... what if you play 40 matches, but you still end up under the rewards level?
Can you keep playing, to improve your ratio? If so, would it be the ratio calculated across all the battles, or your last 40?

There's no point in fighting for Gallente. All Caldari teams are prototyzed to the bone, and i assume there's a lot of people who just fights for them to win the prizes, because we are NOT gonna win. Sad to see a lot of 'traitors'. I played a lot of FW and only won like 3 times.
I prefer personal challenges, winning/losing is -as someone said above- a "lottery". |

After playing many matches, I have come to the careful, measured conclusion that... This event SUCKS.
I have lost uncountable times, in situations where random people "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory", by running upon the enemy guns and cloning out our team.. when all they had to do was just sit back and let our winning objectives finish off the few bars the enemy MCC had
As someone has already written, it doesnt matter how good you do, or even sometimes how good your entire SQUAD does... if either you get saddled with some very bad other teammates, or you just happen to be up against some uber squads.
Rewards should be based on individual contribution, not victory/loss
I suppose this is some kind of overall experiment, to see if rewards will change the way people play Yes, of course they will. But quit screwing over, by definition, around half the player population! Someone can play *40* games, and play well as an individual, yet get NOTHING? that just aint right.
At the very least, it should be "get x number of wins", not "get x percentage of wins". |

I'm just going to assume that the message on Dust when you login that says "40+" means yes, you can keep playing.
AND GUYS quit complaining that you're not winning. The enemy is just trying harder than you. You need to squad up and Qsync (go to the settings and pick the same server as the other squad you want to sync with) with good players.
Honestly, if you're Caldari or Amarr and having "problems," you should seriously stop whining. |

"just"? you act like it's trivial for people to be able to pull together a group of 11 people, who are by definition in the top performing group of the server.
This is ludicrous.
Obviously, if YOU are in the top tiers, you can easily get into those uber corps who demand "KDR > xyz". But otherwise, you're screwed. and that means 50%+ of the players

That is you, apparently many went amarr because of the scrambler rifle aka. the shield pooper and the snipers for the caldari, with the gallente in the middle. Just try the minmatar once and you will understand the power struggle.
I've only won matches because I joined a great squad one time and we were winning by 2 or 3 lines of armor in our MCC if not by clones, but for the times I went solo even if I got something crazy like 30/3 or getting Orbital Strikes by myself, little matter when the guy below me didn't had even half of my wp or the team kept leaving all letters alone. Or even better is having 3 corp squads on the other side and all randoms on ours.
I really want to see the statistic at the end of the event for who played who, what percentage of people got their faction rewards and which faction won the most.
And btw if you say I shouldn't go solo because blah blah blah.....that's because everyone at my corp is playing either amarr or caldari |

Just so we are all clear...............scouts get screwed over again
Amarr: 6,363,750 10,575x100 = 1,057,500 77,280x50 = 3,864,000 57,690x25 = 1,442,250
Caldari: 6,635,750 28,335x100 = 2,833,500 47,220x50 = 2,360,000 57,690x25 = 1,442,250
Gallente: 4,038,000 11,535x100 = 1,153,500 28,845x50 = 1,442,250 57,690x25 = 1,442,250
Minmatar: 5,966,250 21,630x100 = 2,163,000 47,220x50 = 2,361,000 57,690x25 = 1,442,250 |

IgniteableAura wrote:First off, I think its awesome you are making us choose rewards. I really like that. It gives our choice a consequence. Thank you for giving us plenty of time to prepare!
Secondly I really hope when you say "rookie" you mean anyone with less than 10 million skill points. Although it should really be a scale of skill points to number of matches you get double sp. So someone with 2million sp would get 10 matches a day with double SP. That would really help the newbros out a TON! Please consider changing that.
I do think the rewards are worth it...HOWEVER, I do think it would have been better if you would allow us more flexibility to choose the rewards for each faction. It would have been nice to choose your dropsuit and weapon at least, because currently I cant use half of those awards. Still limit which rewards we can choose....making it a CHOICE, but give more flexibility.
Example: Amarr: Tier I GÇô 100 x Imperial Flux Drop Uplink Tier II GÇô 50 x Choice of Amarr weapon (scrambler rifle/pistol, laser rifle) Tier III GÇô 25 x Choice of Amarr dropsuit
Minmatar: Tier I GÇô 100 x Six Kin Triage Repair Tool Tier II GÇô 50 x Choice of Winmatar weapon (flaylock/mass drive/SMG) Tier III GÇô 25 x Choice of Winmatar dropsuit
Overall this is a great step in the right direction. Really happy with where you are going. Keep up the good work.

Ok, some event feedback, and i'm going to preface this by saying i went minmatar, so you can all guess just how well that went...
Overall It was a nice change to hop into FW. Knowing our actions were impacting EVE was a good feeling. I was not really prepared for the wall of proto gear/players I ran into however. Matches ranged from good to frustrating as hell.
I found very quickly that a string of losses can cause you to lose interest in the event, seeing the rapidly growing hole you have to dig out of to reach any of the tier win/loss ratios. There was also significant frustration in some of the matchmaking. Getting into several games in the last ~5 minutes (losses) and one where i went from quarters > loading > quarters only to get a loss made me feel that I had little to no control over the outcome of the event.
I would suggest you tweak the event to be not tied to win/loss and something more like:
Tier 1 - Play 20 FW matches Tier 2 - Play 40 FW matches Tier 3 - Win 15 FW matches
This does several positive things. First it encourages people to just hop in and try it, knowing that even if you have a bad streak you can still complete the event. Second, its far easier to track, and since we're doing the tracking by hand thats important. Third, you can still get something even if you lose every match. As it stands now, if you can't hit the win percents you walk away with a bunch of effort spent and nothing to show for it, not a great feeling.
I at first thought the emphasis on winning (Win / loss ratio for prizes) was a good thing, but between matchmaking issues, awoxers, and people protostomping it made me wish for some of the previous events that had personal objectives. |
