First off, thanks for more events!
"Winning" Event:
I like that this event encourages winning. Winning requires things like squad play and tactics. The more that's encouraged the better.
I do not like that it rewards your first three wins. My first three wins of the day are nothing special. I don't even notice them. As a result of this I don't even notice the event. That's bad design.
Make the best three games of your day count for the next event like this. Encourage all games to matter. Give a bonus for our best game of the week on top of all that.
Faction Warfare Event:
I love me some FW. I may have a bias here as I don't mind grinding out Amarr victories.
This event shows you are listening to us by offering different types of rewards. This is a big move in the right direction in contrast to previous event rewards. The problem people seem to have (I myself am not bothered) is that players may not use the gear of the faction they play for. I suggest that an ISK alternative be available for those who do not want the gear.
I would like to see something tied to the results of FW in addition to the results for showing up and winning x number of games. Perhaps CCP could track the W/L of waring factions and reward only the victors of each set. For example, after a grueling week long war, Amarr emerges victorious by the grace of God against the Minmatar terrorists - players who successfully met the W/L requirement for the event (or an even higher predetermined W/L ratio) will now receive a super-duper special prize. |

On the bonus SP for WP;
You are only helping vets get even farther ahead. Most newer players are lucky to get 500 WP per match.
On the matches;
You are awarding proto-stomping, not participation. Remove the win requirement and in place make it based upon earning 100 WP over the course of 40 or whatever matches. That way you cannot AFK the event, but everyone has a chance at it just for participating.
You want to help out rookies? You want to make EVERYONE happy, including your accountants? Do some more triple SP events. Rookies will be able to do more with that SP, everyone will love it, and booster sales will go through the roof.
please blue arrow gods of the forums, make a triple sp event happen as a soothing over for lack of 1.5 vehicle fix. noobs need sp.

The matches required for the tier rewards is fairly daunting. However, I'm still pretty excited for the event. |

Double rewards for victories should be standard at this point. That's the only reason to ever be encouraged to win a battle. It shouldn't take a whole event just to get that started. |

Really? This again? And the numbers are even worse this time. The rewards are better, but then again: It will be impossible to get them anyways. Because once again it depends on the blueberries, and not on what you do. This is a lottery.
Well you can always q sync in faction with fellow merc squads that you work well with more than half the time it tends to work and fills up more than 70% of the squad it gives you a much better chances of winning |

CCP Eterne wrote:October Event ScheduleWe'll be rolling out Uprising 1.5 in October which will bring further improvements to DUST 514. To celebrate the release, we'll be holding several events over the course of the month to help drive you to the top of the mercenary mountain. These events are aimed at players old and new, dedicated players who have stuck with us and those coming back to check out how we've made the game better. October is for WinnersOver the course of October, we will be rewarding those who manage to take down their enemies by providing bonus Skill Points for your first three wins each day in any game mode or contract type, except Planetary Conquest. In each of these first three wins, you will earn double the value of the War Points earned in bonus SP. These bonus SP will NOT count against your weekly Skill Point Cap. This event will run all October long! October is for Winning RookiesSimilar to the above event, we are also helping our newbros out by offering anyone in the Rookie Academy the chance to earn bonus Skill Points for their first five victories each day. No matter the game mode or contract type, except Planetary Conquest, you will earn double the value of the War Points earned in bonus SP. These bonus SP will NOT count against your weekly Skill Point Cap. This event will run all October long! Factional Warfare ChallengeThe empires of New Eden are battling each other in Factional Warfare and are pushing harder than ever for the cloned mercenaries to back them up. Each of the factions are pushing for their side to gain momentum over the week of October 8 to 15. During the week, the factions are asking you to prove your loyalty to their cause by fighting solely for their side and winning battles on their behalf.
- Fight 20 Factional Warfare matches for one faction and win at least 55% of them and you'll earn the Tier I rewards.
- Fight 30 Factional Warfare matches for one faction and win at least 50% of them and you'll earn the Tier II and Tier I rewards.
- Fight 40 Factional Warfare matches for one faction and win at least 45% of them and you'll earn the Tier III, Tier II, and Tier I rewards.
The rewards are different depending on which faction you fight for. So choose wisely! Amarr:- Tier I GÇô 100 x Imperial Flux Drop Uplink
- Tier II GÇô 50 x Carthum Assault Scrambler Rifle
- Tier III GÇô 25 x Logistics ak.0 Dropsuit
Caldari:- Tier I GÇô 100 x Ishukone Gauged Nanohive
- Tier II GÇô 50 x Kaalakiota Tactical Sniper Rifle
- Tier III GÇô 25 x Assault ck.0 Dropsuit
Gallente:- Tier I GÇô 100 x CreoDron Active Scanner
- Tier II GÇô 50 x CreoDron Shotgun
- Tier III GÇô 25 x Scout gk.0 Dropsuit
Minmatar:- Tier I GÇô 100 x Six Kin Triage Repair Tool
- Tier II GÇô 50 x Freedom Mass Driver
- Tier III GÇô 25 x Logistics mk.0 Dropsuit
You can only earn the rewards for one faction. You will qualify for rewards based on which faction you fight for the most often. So, if you fight 40 matches for the Caldari and 30 matches for the Gallente, you will only be eligible to earn rewards from the Caldari. If you have equal numbers for different factions, you will earn rewards for whichever faction you have the higher win rate for. Finally, if even that is tied, you will earn rewards based on which faction you completed the requirements for first.
If this is the primary event for October (especially with those s**t rewards, yet once again), then I should probably leave now while I still have my gaming life ahead of me; it's as if CCP really doesn't give a f**k about the new content, or the events leading to said content.

IMO it's pretty important to have it so that you don't get penalised for joining a match just before it ends, and so that merely AFKing doesn't result in awards.
This.
Also, there was a bunch of feedback from people who'd rather see a bonus for their best win rather than their first (or first three). I'd like to see some response from CCP on that matter. |

So I guess the FW event basically demonstrates two things:
1. That CCP is capable of taking steps in the right direction and listening to the community's requests. Because bring able to choose from different rewards is a pretty cool idea I think.
2. That CCP is also still unfortunately bound by CCP logic. "Ok guys, we're gonna have multiple rewards available for the next event. Now we've got four races, so let's give each of them a different suit as a reward. We'll do a logistics suit for the Amarr, an Assualt suit for the Caldari, a scout suit for the Gallente, annnnd.....another logistics suit for the Minmatar! Perfect!"
Like, just, seriously CCP? I honestly can't think of a single valid reason for yet again excluding heavies. |

Really though. Quit complaining about getting free stuff and look at the real problems with the events.
#1 Different people want different rewards thus squads are forced to separate and run alone or with Useless blue dots. #2 basing rewards on a win/loss ratio is just dumb. Wp accrual for the entire week would be a much better option. or even per game.
Your just encouraging Protostomping even more.
Your last event Sp event forced people to grind out tons of ****** games to get the maximum Sp While doing as little as possible to avoid going over the 3000 Sp limit.

no heavy suits for the heavies and no weapons for the heavies either. just by looking at that im already put off by this event.

I don't know why, but CCP must like to blunder their way through. I wonder if they actually talk and discuss this with each other or if its just a Monday morning sleepy board meeting like -
CCP 1 - "YAWNSS.... morning crowd controllers..... yea so an event?" CCP 2 - "*Streches* Yea an event!?" CCP 1 - "No idea what we are going to do though..." CCP 3 - "**** it guys, its easy - lets hand out some ****" CCP 4 - "Yea I know lets make them grind lots and they have to win lots and they get cool stuff!" (Translates to **** stuff) CCP 1 - "Great, October is schitty wok prizes. Meeting adjourned" |

Dear CCP,
Hi, this is one of your more casual fans again, you know the guys who spend maybe 5 hours a week 10 at most on your game and that is if we have the time with what is called a "life". Your faction warfare challenge week is absolutely ridiculous, the amount of grind upon which you are wanting is over 6 hours, and that's if and a big if Scotty isn't messing up like he has been, if the factional war contracts are out that we want, if the squad actually joins the factional war we want them to and on the correct side. Realistically speaking, with how faction warfare has been in the past, all the way up to current day, I see just getting the Tier 1 rewards taking up to 8 hours, at this point I might as well just go to work, come back home and buy the items plus a lot more. For tier III rewards the time needed to get them would be at least 13 hours, assuming you get into the faction you want to every time that week. 40matches*20minutes=800minutes/60=13.33hours So 13 hours and 25 minutes would be close to the least amount of time spent to achieve these rewards and you expect people to do it in one week, with a 55-45% win ratio.
In short CCP, this event sucks, it is a horrible event, if you had maybe given us 2-3 weeks, then I would call this reasonable or doable by most of the Dust 514 crowd, but as it currently stands, you are just going to reward the pub stompers yet again who won't even give a damn cause they already use better gear then this. If you are going to make an event make it doable by more then half your audience and within reasonable time constraints, I do want to have a girlfriend, friends, family etc in my life. |
