Some people aren't clingy and don't have hoarding problems

So, I was doing some thinking about thse weapons. I've only seen them used on YouTube videos, and in game TWICE.
I understand, its not like you can buy more once you loe them, they are a rare salvage weaopn. I like that they are in the game, and rare-ish.

So, the people that use them, especially in pubs... What The F*CK!? How pathetic do you have to be to use an officer weapon. Sniper's I can understand, because you are from from the death actions, But using a Balac's AR or something is flat out stupid, and really does show how pathetic someone is. You eventually die, so risk a gun that you'll never get back in all likelihood?

Now, for the future of DUST. Eventually they want a player run market (which is a VERY bad idea). So all the Officer weapons I'm sitting on, and not using during this time will make me a fortune in the future? i could very well ask 2M ISK each for them, could I not?

Where do these superior weapons find there place in the game?

Many vets were able to stock up on these things when they would pop up 5 or 10 at a time....and then they hard-nerfed the drop rates - 1 to 3.

Honestly the drop-rate is ******. I haven't gotten a Thales in MONTHS, I only have one left now, is it only possible to get one if you kill someone else who has one?

Lol, I have over 30 of each officer weapon (because of chromosome), and still use the officer sniper rifle and forge gun, only to destroy large amounts of isk from other people.

People that claim that you are "pathetic" for using an officer weapon, typically don't encompass many variables with their mind, or don't have the intrinsic ability to comprehend them either, so they either spite out of jealousy or anger due to not being able to use them or being completely decimated by them.

So far, I've only lost a few out of the 200+ total officer weapons I have (everything from pistol, to AR, to Forge Gun and HMG).

Feels good having this many officer weapons; too bad I don't have as much as I do tears of other players, which, judging by this thread (and Dust 514 forums in general) there is just plenty to be had!

I feel bad for some people who use officer weapons some of them use it as a crutch I'm not saying everyone using them is awful but at least a few, three or four days ago a sniper fired more than half his clip at me before he killed me then I spawned back in with a sniper starter fit and counter sniped him. He was using a Thale's, couldn't have gotten more than six kills before I killed him and his precious proto suit and officer weapon in two shots.

Agreed. I can tell you this; I used to kill officers with militia rifles back when I didn't have the SP put into sniper rifles to use Officer, and I have to say that the excitement you get from killing someone with an Officer weapon is so much more invigorating than using an officer weapon to kill someone.

I'll tell you this much. When I die to an officer weapon in a public match, my first thought is: "That guy needs to lose that." So I do what I can to make sure they do. I have orbitalled a single sniper in the mountains because he had a Thale's. I also utterly FAILED to kill Boba Fett when he was maiming my team with a Balac's AR.

IDGAF about my officer weapons lol, y'all can have it for free for all I care, I got my trusty GEK and my prof on my logi suit, thats all I really need, after all, on my alt darren razgriz, I barely shoot, I just keep my friends alive, I only use my GEK when I have to, so I dont neeed my officer AR, or any officer weapon at that, so y'all can have it!
