Really show's how much DUST you play.....
Black screen's, stuck on loading, stuck on victory... 1-2 FPS... the amount of restarting the ps3 hasn't changed... And the squad DC's actually would make my playstation OS hard freeze after quiting out of dust..
It hasn't improved..... you can say stay the same at best... or create new problems after they fixed the old one. |

For me I'd prefer a lot of things to go back, but most of all aiming.
If the community agree then maybe we could petition to CCP.
I'm not saying we need that build back or that we should move to get a total reset back to chrome. I'm just wondering if the community would want to revert back on the most annoying changes of uprising. So that we could start from when dust was at its best. Revert to Chromosome = dead end = shot down in a cul-de-sac.
We're all in, dev & players. Going back is certain death, going forward looks rough as hell.
One thing though, if you're not coming give us your guns and ammo. We're gonna need 'em. |

Maybe your PS3 is dying. Or your internet is bad. I've not had any squad problems for days and lag is pretty much no existent for me - maybe try defragging; it helped me a lot. |

lol first one is about DCs that happened mainly 'overnight' and 'after downtime'. Second one had it's last post 4 days ago. Nice try.
But we're getting away from the point - Uprising is hardly less stable than Chromosome; it's still unstable but no more than before.
And all the things you've quoted as worse since Chromosome are either being worked on as known issues or aren't actually any worse (i.e. sticking to terrain/structures just to name one). |

I like how no one has mentioned the aiming system during chromosome. We never even debated aim assist because we didn't need it. You could track a running assault like a mofo and shoot him- with practice. Now that aiming was revamped and sights were changed along with sensitivities, aiming was **** poor in uprising 1.0. Most fights just ended up being battles of hip fire. CCP's fix was a giant bandaid that is AA, rather than reverting to something that wasn't flawed and required no aim assist. Just watch some of the better players' footage during chrome. Smooth as glass W/O AA. |

Just for that.... JUST WOW..... wow... lolol
You are just wrong.
And the DC issue has been thursday friday all the weekend and continuing today wee~ You only show you type without knowing... go through the forum history yourself it's spammed with it...
Squad connection issues with server's have been a massive problem since uprising 1.4 launch. Why are you trying to play that it hasn't or its just one special person? |

This.
We went through the strong AA argument in beta... and they removed it.. even there too a beta ... and KB/M had raw input... guess who was still on top's of leaderboards?
This is a shooter.... and if the aiming and shooting mechanic's are even questioned... then it's not working right. despite all the pretty textures... and new gadget's... the FPS part of the game is no where near what it was. |

And by the way, it is a severe case of rose tinted glasses - Uprising is ahead of Chromosome is pretty much everyway (not to say Uprising didn't have pretty bad teething problems, some of which are still around.) The reason some people think Chromo was better is probably because they were right - the aforementioned teething problems meant the Uprising 1.0 was a step down. This is no longer the case (1.2 was the turning point in my mind) but CCP's policy of smaller rapid fire updates means that the improvements are more gradual as apposed to a single step. Not unlike ' boiling the frog' the sum and scale of the improvements is often overlooked. I played in February, what build was that? |

Chrom http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oVKlD3N8xM
Uprising 1.4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6T6c8AwNwV8 (Tried to find a better example but only one decent person is making vid's for DUST anymore)
Sadly pretty textures can't replace gameplay and mechanics...
the reason nintendo 1 games are still played for hours straight... the gameplay... And why Chromosome was played so heavily for a virtually unknown title in the console world not even launched. it's gameplay.

Pyrex?? he does highlight video's... how is that relevant... gimble? the guy who plays with logi bro? your serious? how about BAMM HAVOC he should get some credit he does nice highlights too...
there is what... 2-3 weeks of footage for 1.4 and most of them contain shotgun registry glitches... tank registry glitches... OP aim assist movies... and comparing it to CoD and battlefield AA... And anyone else left doing their gameplay vid's, Have a DUST 514 Lag title on one or even several of them in the last two weeks. Kingthunderbolt, blazethrough... etc
The most consistent thing you miss is you could still aim and register shot's even in Chromosome lag... when Uprising starts getting rough its as predictable aiming system as chromosome to uprising... |

Face it you didn't play chromosome much and don't understand there was a massive gameplay difference that makes uprising feel boring slow and repetitive and offer's no more glitch fixes... Only bigger problems to core game mechanics then they had. Cars still drive through the floor's... grenades still drop through floors... You still get stuck on hills but now u get stuck on everything else...
This is why the game's populace is thinning out... gameplay... AA is just a very small part and a needle at the end of a stack already piled up on the camel's back.
That's why they have CPM's and went on a damage control campaign... You have no idea how much feedback was given leading up to Uprising, then when that disappointment was released, people realized CCP listened to no one.
That's why there was a mandate for them to respond more on the forums.
The argument that content from uprising has magically fixed them breaking the "aiming" part of the shooter and putting uprising 1.0,1.1,1.2,1.3 and now a 1.4 band aid over the still terrible aiming system doesn't help.
Hit detection should register a bullet hitting the merc's baby finger to it's left butt cheek... it doesn't they did HD lazy... that's why there is no recorded accuracy or hit box stat's for your merc. |

You clearly have no idea who you're talking to. Look at those likes - I've been here posting for over a year. For the entire open beta and most of closed beta I was unemployed, so played Dust constantly. I never missed a week's cap once.
Don't try to misrepresent me - the game is far from perfect. But having seen several major updates over the past year, I remember how people cried for a revert back to replication when Codex came, to Codex when Chromosome came and now the exact same here with Uprising. This is not new and we will see the same happen when 2.0 comes too.
There's a lot to be done but it's being done, bit by bit. Slower than I would have hoped but it is. The problem is that's it's happening too slow for most and that is why the player base isn't growing. With big new games like GTA out now, we've lost players left right and center and PS4 will be a big hit to us too. I disagree with some of the direction that has been taken and recently have been increasingly vocal about that but I refuse to sit here while people try to say that the game was better 9 months ago when that is just nonsense.

A week's cap? in beta? you main daily?
Im not here to fanboi or blow smoke up CCP's ass... There is fanfest for that... you can pub crawl with the dev's and talk about your passion....
CCP made the choices that caused the mass exodus... and you keep forgetting that. and they continue to repeat the same actions and choices.... |

The post wasn't about reversing the whole build back to chromosome. It was about finding out if people could agree on something that was better in chrome than in uprising, so that we could further the progress of the game.
I didn't mean for there to be an objective or anything, just some thought, ideas and opinions. |

I would have loved that.
I also miss having 2 equipment slots on non-logis. Go to character sheet then skills should be there. |
