I played like that for a whole week once.
I now play an average of about 10-20 hours per week (about 1-3 hours per day) depending on my mood, what other people are doing, work schedule, etc.
It's enough to cap out every week, but just barely (I usually cap on Monday/Tuesday right before downtime), so I don't think it's too much or too little. Right now I've been playing some other games as I wait for 1.5. The fact that they took away the most important thing for me as a logi didn't help with 1.4, so now I'm not having as much fun. Healing is my favorite part of this game. |

Normally I'll login everyday to collect the SP bonus and play a few rounds, but then I have College and Work so play time is limited other than that. The most I'll be on for is about 3-ish hours, anymore than that and I feel as if I could do something better with my time. However, the occasional marathon weekend is always nice! |

With the new bonus for consecutive days, I can see myself going a little out of my way to at least log in everyday. Jumped out of bed the other day to log all my characters before down time rolled around. (It's basically like adding another week's SP cap every month, and almost worth it.) |

I play approximately an hour a day between Wednesday and Friday. On Saturday I usually play until I've gotten 90% of the way through my remaining cap and finish off the last 10% on Sunday. I wish there was some sort of extra incentive to play past cap. Yes, I'll play just for the fun of it if I am playing with friends, but I would be happy to have a reason to pub after cap. Maybe something like a 25% ISK earnings boost once your SP cap is achieved. |

ATM I've been trying to get in at least 3-4 games a day. Which can be anything like an hour to 3, depending on if I'm keeping track. I spend a lot of time discussing how I want to spend my SP/ISK. If it's slow in the office now I've been playing more. The game is a bit addicting.
When I first started playing FPS games I would sit and play from when I woke up until I was going to pass out. Idk how I did that - thankfully now I've reigned it in a bit.
What's hardest for me atm is I only play on a monitor so I don't hear any sounds :( I want to get a small TV or something for the office so I can hook up a headset (i'm not very technically savvy, not sure how to get sound from the PS3 if I am HDMI connected to a monitor with no sound output).
I'm afraid to take the PS3 home and play because I don't think I'd spend time with my dog or friends. CCP Mintchip // Twitter - @CCP_Mintchip Dust 514 Community Rep |

If you get the PS3 headset or any that connect through USB, you can just plug it into the PS3's USB ports. (Outta luck if you want to play with a keyboard and mouse as well though...)

Easy peasy, get one of these cheap things: rca to 3.5 both female
You can then plug in your headphones into that cable and plug the AV cable that came with the ps3 that has 3 ends (left, right and video) and plug the two ends into left and right and just ignore the yellow video end. The picture will still come out of the hdmi.
Then in the ps3 settings you choose audio output to AV and voila you'll have sound through the headphones and picture through the hdmi still. |

I know that feeling =\
I'm soundless too. I'm still question why the PS3 will let me hear voice chat via the headset I have, but not in-game sounds... |

I know that feeling =\ I'm soundless too. I'm still question why the PS3 will let me hear voice chat via the headset I have, but not in-game sounds... Some of the cheaper headphones are like that, my gf got some knock-off Xbox headphones at Ross that advertised at being great for gaming but they are only for voice. I definitely suggest getting some better ones, the edge it gives you is VERY noticeable, as a sniper the headphones have saved my bacon innumerable times because I can hear someone walking up behind me |

Well, as a community we need to make up our minds.
We call out "devs" for not having experience in the various roles we play -- and then ***** at them if they admit to spending any time actually playing the game.
I'd also imagine that not everyone with the "dev" tag is actually a developer. |

People need to chill out in general. While this free to play game has some issues it is, overall, a really fun experience. The fact that they are putting out updates once a month is awesome. To me it seems like they are really doing their best and they ARE improving the game.
I have a really hard time accepting people's angry rants about a free to play game. You didn't willingly spend money on the game before you knew what you were getting yourself into. If they nerfed your weapon then it was because it was overpowered which is probably why you invested in it in the first place. Stop bitching about it and spec into the new flavor of the month like you always do.
Overall, lay off the devs... Quit being whiny bitches and either play the game or quit. |

They're not. I was an out of office "dev" for an MMO a few years ago. all I did was run some script to fix small glitches ( replace lost items or add drops) and manage forums and website. most of the devs here are probably community relations, handle payments, maybe do a little tweaking if simple stuff pops up. they don't actually program the game. |

I used to be much more active in chromosome. I capped out 2 weeks ago for the first time in over two months, and that was because I was gone on business for a couple weeks. In the middle of the desert with sh*t else to do most days.
I would say my average is less than 30 mins a day now each week, with the majority of that going to PC battles. That's pretty much the only reason I get on anymore.
Also, my wife gets pissed at me when I play dust so that is a contributing factor...

When I first started playing FPS games I would sit and play from when I woke up until I was going to pass out. Idk how I did that - thankfully now I've reigned it in a bit.
