Whether organized or not, many members of Dust University have taken to these forums with a Pro AA, Anti KB/M stance.

If you oppose the addition of AA to this game, and want to preserve KB/M, you need to get involved and voice your opinion. |

I think AA needs to be nerfed a little but I think AA should stay as long as there is KBM.

D-Uni has a lot of members. So that there are multiple members against KB/M isn't a surprise. There are also a few of the reverse (Czsiksent Mihalyi is who I'm thinking of here).
Also, the low average SP totals of D-Uni members means that they're the community members most benefiting from AA.
As far as my stance is concerned... As a tanker, I want to keep KB/M around, and idgaf about AA :) |

I don't see what this has to do with Dust University? All I see is a few people from a corporation of thousands expressing their personal opinions. For example my opinion is that there should be no KB/M allowed on this game to keep an even playing field. Also, I don't think Aim Assist is the right direction to take this game if you want the game to be a competative game. If you are aiming it to be a casual man's shooter perhaps, but not if you ever want to see professional tourneys. |

lol... you seem to forget dust university is the largest corp in the game...
over 1300 members at the moment I believe
so with so many people in the corp chances are you're gonna have a bunch of them agreeing on a topic...
great conspiracy thread though...
you know its not just people from my corp who feel this way, does that mean the other corps are in a conspiracy with us to ruin your gaming experience?
next you should look at how many people who are for AA also have an "A" in their name...you may find a connection there as well |

Our members have just as much right to voice their opinion on game mechanics as everyone else here on the forums. Just because there is a large group from D-UNI who are pro-aim assist and anti-KB/M, doesn't mean the administrative staff is going around telling our members to push a certain topic so we can influence the game development...
Because if that was the case... I personally would want to see things that we won't see until four or five years down the line. IE: Corporation lobby where you can leave your merc quarters and meet up with other members, a squad / team based training area that gains zero ISK and zero SP per match, rogue drones, bars, character creator (a proper one.)
Cool conspiracy though. |

Well, don't I have a solution for you, good sir!
It just so happens that our top leaders are secretly Amarrian slavers. Any and all Minmatar 'students' who apply to Dust University are forced into the mines of Hrober V to mine tin. We'll sell it to you for cheap. 100k per 200 units.

I dare any KBM player to play with a DS3, and tell me that aiming is smooth.
I dare.
Reason being, it's jolty and halfassed.
Play Skyrim, and that's the DS3 experience in DUST.
I can forgive Skyrim for its flaw (One of few), due to what it is.
But DUST is a fricking FPS, not a RPG, so this is a inexcusable flaw in game design, which can be resolved most easily with AA. Orgerwise, we are asking a brick maker to reinvent the wheel. |

If you remove KB/M then kiss good bye to like 20-30% of the playerbase or however many people use KB/M. I cant use the controller worth a **** and I dont think I would play this game if I had to learn a whole new control mechanic.
CCP please put a tag on the screen you see when you are killed, that way you can show who is using KB/M and who is using a controller. I swear you will get killed by both and it wont make a damn bit of difference.
If anything up the controller sensitivity, my brother says its much to slow even at 100% |

Out of my corp of probably 50 or more ACTIVE players, I know only a handful who use a KB/M. Most I know in my corp use controller.
So yea possibly 20 or 30% of the playerbase use KB/M. |

Hmmm...so CCP is too lazy to actually fix the aiming so they just make an aimbot for AR? Interesting No. It's that you can't "fix" aiming with the gamepad without AimAssist.
Can you reinvent the wheel?
No. It's perfect. But, its useless without an cart to attach it to.
You can refine, and refine the raw input, but without any assistance, aiming sill still be wierd.
But, it doesn't matter. You've already nerfed aiming, so it doesn't matter. Even if it was a wimp of a assist, it's still aimbot to KBM users.
You know what? Delete the DS3, and just port this to PC.
Otherwise, DS3's will always be "OP" or vastly painful to use.
There. I will just leave this topic alone, and let you baffoons nerf aiming some more.
There. |

omg this again?
this is a console game, if you expect to play this game with something from PC, then oh ******* well, youl have to deal with the consequences of your choice.
im not an advocate of aim assist NOR am I against it, but its ******* stupid for KB/M users to come here demanding that console players play like PC players when were on a CONSOLE GAME, it makes no ******* sense..
for console players, we don't have any comfort when playing pc, we cant use our controllers when were trying to go on PC games.... you should count yourself lucky that CCP is allowing you to use your PC **** to play on CONSOLE. |

AHH A LIE, A LIE, A WHAT A TERRIBLE LIEEEEE!
This isn't about console vs PC, it's about serious gamers versus entitled whiners. PC style input is a reality for this game, because the reality of this game will not be limited to the PS3 forever. So you can ragequit now, or ragequit when the PC port comes.
CCP should make the Mouse as good as possible, and the DS3 as good at possible, without providing any artificial assistance to the player.
Also, you can use a joystick on just about any PC game. I used to use it for City of Heroes of all things. 90% of games on pc use Direct Input, which allows for any input device that can be configured as an HID, including PS3/Xbox controllers.
