Someone once suggested that the health bars should be replaced with a single health bar, shields being blue and armor being green. The biggest advantage of this method is the fact that when shields go down, it looks like a player is half dead when that really isn't the case at all...so it would eliminate any confusion about how much health a player has. For an enemy, shields would be blue and armor red.
Better yet, I also support some sort of change in icons for the different dropsuits just as we have different icons for vehicles.
For instance a heavy would maybe be two chevrons, a logi would have a small cross, assaults are one chevron, and scouts are a chevron with a dot.. |

A soldier in a logistics dropsuit can greatly improve the overall effectiveness of his group, and fills a vital tactical role in small-unit operations and full-scale warfare by providing both medical and mechanical support.
Removing the ability of the Logistic/Logibro from being able to see the condition of his squadmates who are in close proximity (25m) is contrary to the stated 'mission' of the Logistics suit.
Logibros have the training to use the logistics suit to monitor the flow of battle and provide support where it is needed. If you're not trained in the art of using a logistics suit, or aren't using a 'Neo' suit, then I could see not being able to track the medical or mechanical needs of your team.
But right now, "my suit doesn't work right." I would like to believe that it is a 'programming malfunction' from the manufacturer that has injected the issue. It appears as though they have removed the 'latest in diagnostics technology' and put it on par with a standard Assault/Heavy/Scout suit.
My repper isn't giving the statistics tracking feedback like standard weapons, I activate it and it isn't providing the information. Which means they broke both my logistics suit and my repper.
Help me to better support my squad and team. |

This is the biggest downfall of 1.4 changes aside from the matchmaking bugs.'
Logi's need to be able assess quick triage priority for fellow teammates on the battlefield. Friendly health bars need to be visible to Logistics players for anyone who is within range of the farthest ranged repper available. I will deal with the clutter...what I cannot deal with is not being able to properly assess those players around me.
This needs to be addressed by 1.5 or we are going to see a significant number of Logistics players not filling their proper role on the battlefield. |

Agree massively with what's been said, as a dedicated Logi I too have dropped the needle as its pointless, but killing the rep tool too? That's just harsh, we already get ganked over WP for half the work we do, now we have to work even harder just to get those few WP we were getting.
Please take a look at the backlog and bump this task in priority!

This needs to be fix within the next couple of weeks. My corpmates are starting to call out when they need reps to compensate but it's just one more thing for them to do and I prefer that they stay focused on the enemy. |

They should really just make it an option to change how we want to view blue dots. If I want to see blue dots on my map, then I should be able to.
I can understand why they changed it for your enemies so that you only see the health of a person you're targeting, but I never had a problem with friendly health bars and such. |

With 1.4 I have no complaints. I actually see some great unexpected changes (Scrambler Rifle buff FTW), but I am worried about how easy it will be for me to see the health of allies.
As of right now, it still takes some effort to aim at my teammates when they are far away...and even then, I can't easily tell who is in need of help and who isnt.
I fully agree with the removal of friendly player icons from the sides of the screen, but how will this affect my ability to quickly address a situation? will I still be able to see friendlies' health when they are nearby? Or will my best bet be to find a random squad?
I tend to work alone these days...and I don't just support my squad members even if I am in a squad. __________________________
I could be totally wrong here so excuse me if I have read the patch notes wrong...but this could be a big downside for me as a logi.
Maybe the solution would be some more icons to represent a player that is below a certain % of armor who needs reps, similar to the icon for a downed player?
the problem with running rep tools right now is if their using a weapon they've put skillpoints into your dead before you can get reps, fit a repping hive or a scanner would be a better use for that equipment slot till they tweak aim assist down a little bit(and i mean a little bit its not completely broken its just making the militia assault rifle able to eat a full tank proto suit in seconds) |

I think having a real small bar under a players tag that displays the armour left ratio whenever a player DOES NOT have full armour should be added for ANY character that has a repair tool equipped. Repping is not limited to logis, if you equip it you need to be able to get some feedback on when to use it. |

Pretty much this.
Injectors and Repair Tools were already in need of some love when compared with other equipment and these changes have hit them yet again. Even leaving aside my long standing comments about the scaling of the WP awards for equipment the mechanical aspects effecting the Injector and Repair Tool, both bug and some of the "as intended", render them nearly useless for high level play.
There are some on these forums who like to complain about the heavy level of uplink use.... well give us back functional ways to keep our teams in fighting form without respawning and those uplinks won't be so pervasively required for effective play.

With the ability to hit much more often and much more accurately (and now with more magnetism) the difference between dead clone and unrecoverable clone is very slim.
I've removed the stick from most of my logi suits (Minmatar means I've got less eHP despite slightly more speed so trying to get to the rare downed but not destroyed ally is practically impossible) and I use my suits configured with scanners instead.
I suggest increasing the buffer between down and destroyed so that there is more temptation to use a stick, which will cause me to die a lot trying to revive my allies.
But that is what LogiBros are for. |

Yep I'll add my bit to this one, I cannot see at a glance who needs reps and who doesn't this is surely a must.
How can this be right I mean I haven't played PC battles yet but comms were chaotic enough before the new patch now you've basically blindfolded the logi theres gonna be even more clutter.
there's no point in giving me a rep tool with no idea who to rep, thats like giving the rest of the squad guns and making the enemy invisible.
CCP without logis people will see their aurum gear disappear and stop spending on it, hitting you in the pocket so come on turn on the bars for rep tool carriers you know it makes sense. It can't be that hard. |

Exactly, and they can keep the clutter down by having smaller bars that only show when the person does not have full shields or armour (with different colours for the two as someone else indicated). I want to amend my earlier thought and include shield health so you can see the ratio of shield to armour and know to start repping someone when they are low on shields BEFORE they take armour damage for those true logis, |

I agree fully on the needle. Another problem is with the mass driver blast radius if anyone on the other side is using one and points it even remotely close to your direction your downed clone is instantly terminated. I think it should require direct damage to kill a clone. Like a bullet to the head!
I used to only run the needle on every suit but never do anymore (disclaimer I'm an assault so I only have one slot). |

I am glad someone bumped this thread up again. Still a prevailing issue for triage-based Logistics players. And with TTK significantly reduced due to recent changes the need for split-second assessment is more vital than ever before.
It would be nice if CCP could at least acknowledge the issue, comment on possible solutions and perhaps clarify whether or not this is going to be addressed in a future update. |

They have commented on it, but it is a low priority or "on the back burner" from what I remember seeing in other comments. They know about it but players like us will just have to wait. Hopefully there will be the Vehicle retooling then the suit releases and weapon balancing and last of all Equipment and Skill re working.
Personally I would like to see suits and skills worked out first, then equipment, then vehicles . But my priorities differ because of my play style, just as most people harp about what is important to them, or what they are being killed by the most. |

i think sqaud members shud be able to check eachother's health like before your squad's suits are conected to eachother so not being able to do a simple health monitoring or seeing there pasive scan is illogical when equiped whit a logistic suit we are expected to have advanced sensor's in the suit to find micrafracture's in the bone's even when they are wearing a 2cm thick plated suit so why do we need to aim at allies to check there health if they get whitin a certain range it schuild automaticly scan the lifesign's of the allied troop's thats what the sensor was made for so lets say Logi sensor - Team health visible when they get whitin 15M - squad health visible when they get whithin 25M - enemy health visible when they get whitin 5M Scout sensor - Team health visible when they get whitin 10M - squad health visible when they get whithin 15M - enemy health visible when they get whitin 10M Asault sensor - Team health visible when they get whitin 8M - squad health visible when they get whithin 15M - enemy health visible when they get whitin 8M Heavy sensor - Team health visible when they get whitin 8M - squad health visible when they get whithin 12M - enemy health visible when they get whitin 8M wel the radius can be tweaked just basic sugestion that or when you equip a repair tool you can see health bar's from allied/squad at 30M so we know who needs heal and when to grab ouwer guns and shoot for survival |
