A full skilled proto swarm:
Lock on time: 1.12 Refire time: .3 Time between shots: 1.42 seconds (from 3.2 seconds pre-1.4)
Damage: 330x6 times 1.15 equals 2277 per volley. One 10% damage mod: 2504 per volley. One damage mod against an armor tank: 3256 damage per volley. Time/Damage of a full clip: 4.26 seconds for 9768 damage. Damage reduction with max skills and a 15% module: 23.5% - Full clip deals 7909 Average armor tank health: 6700 armor with 1000 shields.
Factor in vehicle speed, swarms performing 360 turning speed on a dime, homing, and invisibility if they are past rendering range: Armor is dead, all hail shields!
Armor dropships will be dead before they can even react and as swarms are homing they will now be worse than forge guns as there is no way to avoid them other than an afterburner. Armor tanks will be unable to react in time and will be alpha killed, armor reps will be useless as they take 2-3 seconds to start once activated.
Don't forget SL Operation decreases lock time by 5%, that 4.26 seconds just turned into 3.75s. Not even enough time to start accelerating. |

This is offset by the skill change

So in fact it locks on quicker and also fires alot faster

I better have a proto tank in 1.5 because for the next month swarms will ******* hurt alot more and alot faster than now

* All handheld weapon reload skills now have a cost multiplier of x3 (down from x6) and their skill book ISK price reduced to 203,000 from 774,000
So you can say 4 buffs now, i just realised it but they can reload faster so faster lock on and firing with faster reload because its cheaper to get the skill now so more swarms everyfuckingwhere
Super crutch - **** me and i thought vehicles couldnt get any worse off but it seems they can just buff AV
1 proto swarm user will be able to kill that tank before he knows what happens because lol 3 volleys in the air at the same time is so easy
Dropships dont bother fellas you ******
tanker crying about crutches when the tank is the biggest crutch in the game.

Correction overnerfed after an overnerf after a good shafting . Ccp certainly has been enjoying my ass hole. |
