Mostly all dropsuits have a base armor repair rate of 0.0 (except minmatar non-logistics). Dropsuits that are better suited to armor tanking could have a base higher armor repair rate.
This is an example of what it could be like: Minmatar: 1 Caldari: 0 Armarr: 2 Gallente: 3 |

Dropsuit balancing is 1.4, and CCP would be stupid not to add this. Specially since it is one of the many things required to balance the two. |

All dropsuits are suited for armor/shield tanking - it's called getting to cover! |

Being a minmatar assault, i can say that +1 to armor rep is a godsend. However why the gallente light and amarr/gallente mediums don't when they are clearly more armor tank based is something that confuses me: Gallente light needs to either get another low slot and pg/cpu buff to cover a repper, or a +2 amarr assault is (from what i understand eve side) supposed to be an even tank with slots focused on armor and bonuses on repping. So by those grounds either the anarr assault gets an innate +3 or an extra liw slot with pg/cpu to boot Gallente assault should get a +1/2 to repping, as tgey are the second armor tankers. Should not get skill bonuses to reppers as that is amarr |

The whole point of shields is that they passively regen and armour does not. Buffer vs regen and the line is blurred enough already IMO. |

I think the idea is sound, but you should take it a little farther.
Having played both armor and shield a few armor regen a second is mostly just convenience, so lets make the base stats a little nicer.
Minmatar: 2 Caldari: 1 - (0 is just super painful, give them something) Amarr: 4 Gallente: 5
This should reduce some of the pain in running rep less setups (for everyone), while helping out armor tanks a touch. |

Armor really needs a fix, but giving suits a passive rep bonus will just make armor reps as useful as ferris are. Helpful To only the suits without this bonus.
This isn't the awnser to the issue. |

In fact, I run a militia armor rep on all my caldari dropsuits simply to get some sort of self-repair if a logi isn't around. And It gives Amarr/Gallente a much needed boost to survivability. |

I disagree with you, especially when a Gallente Heavy Suit comes out which may have like 600 base armor and 250 shields, Gallente suits as I have seen already have the worst of the shield recharge for both depletion and recharging, if you look at any of their suits from, they deserve to have some passive recharge to the armor or passive resistances to damage on the armor half. Otherwise it's always that shields win, shields recharge the fastest, have the most possible hp and everything else for infintry. So give an answer to the solution, rather then just saying no or least a suggestion towards one please. |

This should reduce some of the pain in running rep less setups (for everyone), while helping out armor tanks a touch. Yeah, giving caldari nothing was a little harsh. I revised the numbers a little. Also I don't think the passive repair rates should be as high as you suggested. |

I don't care what ya'll think. This idea is stupid. We all have access Armour repairs, use them.
Having Armour Recharge like Shields is just bullshit. Armour needs a HP Buff, not a Regen feature.
Additionally, I'll be pissed if the Minmatar don't have the highest Armour Repair per Second. That part of the whole reason I cause Minmatar as my race.
I feel the reason Minmatar have the Racial Bonus of a Passive Repair is because of their history. I just see them as being the salvagers and people that will make anything work if possible, hence the duct tape. So thus they repair a lot of things to make what the need and so their suits passively retain this trait.

Based on the concerns and points made I feel that nothing should be done to change the current armor repair rates for dropsuits; also since racial bonuses to modules like a reduced armor plate speed penalty for Gallente are planned, there isn't a need to give suits that are better suited for armor tanking, Gallente and Amarr, a base armor rep rate for the dropsuit. |

Mimnatar is a suit for run and regencerate that's why they already have this if they add this to the game they need to make every suit 1 with mimnatar 2 and + .4 speed |

A they would still be able to add more armor and a little more more hp/s repair rate with just 1 module; anyway CCP can just rebalance reactive plates to make them a little more worth it. |

I could see giving +1 hp/s across the board (Minmitar need the +2 because they have lower armor than Gallente), since players who leave combat almost dead would just be dead if they didn't find a logi before the next fight. But I don't see armor tanking being good for taking a hit and 'bouncing back' when that is the way shields operate. Tanking with shields should operate differently than tanking with armor, imho. I think buffing the total HP bonus given by each of the plates would be a better fix, and for everything else there's Armor Reps, triage Nanos and Repair Tools (which would be better if more players used thicker plates I am thinking...) |

Make armor reppers high slot. Makes dual tanking harder (which is good), while encouraging you to tank focus on your chosen suits stronger point. Then and only then, will we be able to see how shield vs armor actually fairs. |

I'm not keen on this idea.
I prefer keeping the choice of whether to fit reps or not (hopefully once the UI is fixed repair tools will make a comeback). I also prefer keeping the core of armour being non-regenerating HP.
This feels kind of like a bandaid to the problem.
-I would like to see another buff or armour or a nerf to shields (CCP mentioned extenders increasing recharge delay). -The fitting of ferroscale plates needs to come down. -Reactive plates need to actually be useful. 2 reactive plates should be as good as a plate and a rep but cost more fitting (or something). -Splash weapons need falloff. -Locus grenades need a bit of a nerf (maybe, see what falloff does).
Things things should be done ONE AT A TIME and slowly so that the results can be observed by CCP stats people. And they should share with us but we all know that's not going to happen.
As an aside does anyone know if the shield delay issue is still happening? (The delay being taken from the first shot not the last.) |
