I just recently saw somebody go 40:3 with a Mass Driver. My heavy suit was happy he was on my team.

I've also been in a match in which nearly half the enemy team was spamming their MD like no tomorrow. It would have been epic, if not for the fact my heavy was being slaughtered by the constant explosions.

I feel that the MD is the new FoTM. Every time I get killed by a MD, I can't help but wonder if the user is using it because they actually enjoy the weapon...

Um? Only the assault mass driver has 8 shots and it rof is still slow. And the assault md does less dmg.

I generally either use either the EC-3 or the Core Breach, once in a while I pull out the Freedom but I feel dirty doing it.

The Freedom is for splash damage and people that can't aim.

The EC-3 is for spamming an area and making sure people either die when the enter it, or find another way around.

The Core Breach is for skilled players to one shot people in proto gear.

Any weapon with a blast radius + damage mods will be OP if you put enough on the suit. When will CCP learn that players stacking damage mods is whats ruining the game?

you know youre proving your ignorance to the weapon right? Its not a 1v1 weapon, has 8 shots higher rate of fire and blast radius. You would be surprised at the kind of damage it can do to protos.

i use mass drivers because i enjoy them an have since i first got my hands on them when I first joined Dust, i won't stop using them ever, not for any assault fanboy who doesn't know the meaning of tactics.

the thing that'll separate you from them is if you use your gear through it's ups and downs and not just when it's powerful

Flaylock.......You know someone with a 1.4 (maybe 1.5 now) kdr shouldnt be talking smack. You suck kid. All of your arguments are void when you suck with the very weapons you claim are OP (AR/ASCR). I dont understand how you can even come on here and act like you are good.....assuming you have a 1.5 KDR that sucks in a normal FPS....and for Dust you arent even decent unless you have a 3.0 KDR. Perhaps you should work on your game instead of your smack talk because your game has not caught up with your mouth.


Oh and BTW on topic......the reason the MD is OP at this point (as I have been speaking with players who have been using MD for a long time now) is that before certain explosions wouldnt register. Now explosives are fixed so every shot is registering accurately....which means that the freakin 6 meter radius (9 if using assault) is crazy good at completely annihilating whole groups of enemies with no need to aim whatsoever. Its laughable that people think this is a difficult weapon to use in its current form.

I trained my assault rifle to level 4 because everything will get nerfed. I mean everything. Nova knife, forge gun, grenades, av gear. Lavs. Just about everything non assault rifle or assault suit will get nerfed because if it kills a assault rifle user its OP. Even if it's a mele.

I have seen many games where my team held all objectives almost the entire game but we lost because i was the only person doing any killing....So as a result we were winning the MCC dmg battle but we lost the game because they cloned out my team.
